RUMOR: Alex Highsmith?

Josh sweat seems to be the best out of all these possible trade for players

Unless you bring back Diggs
You can't win a Super Bowl if you can't stop the run or rush the passer.

Anyone suggesting get rid of Barmore should have their head examined. He's the only guy on the entire roster who can play as a true nose tackle. He gets double teamed more than anyone on our defense.

Football is won and lost in the trenches.

Keep baremore bring back diggs.
That would be a special group of wrs
Drake would absolutely light the league up

If he was known to have been available sooner, Sweat would've been a better option than the journeyman Dre'Mont Jones.

I highly doubt Diggs will want to return for a couple reasons. One, there's nothing more irritating for a player than playing all 17 games after a major ACL injury, leading the team with 1,000 yards, but is cut when the bill the due. He's being professional about it, but he is pissed behind closed doors.

Also, both Brown and Doubs can play inside and outside. Diggs doesn't have a place on the team even if there was mutual interest.

I agree with all that but just because brown and Dobbs can play inside doesnt mean it wouldn't work. Diggs can get your 1000 from the slot brown 1000 plus from X and doubbs 800 from the Z. But your probably right anyway. Its very unlikely he returns

Not sure the credibility or if this is just speculation. But I’d be very for it. Still very productive and turning 29 this year.

Rapoport said a trade isn't happening. He's nearly as good as Schefter so that is that. Nothing here to see.

Thibodeaux: - 6'5 - 258lbs - 25.4 yrs old
2025 numbers: 3 sacks, 6 QB hits, 23 hurries on 324 pass rushing snaps - 1 pressure every every 10.125 snaps.
Career Numbers: 26 sacks, 31 QB Hits, 101 hurries on 1668 pass rushing snaps - 1 pressure every

Alex Highsmith - 6'3 1/8" - 28 lbs - 28.8 years
2025 Numbers: 10 sacks, 9 QB Hits, 25 pressures on 351 pass rushing snaps - 1 pressure ever 7.98 snaps
Career: 51 sacks, 47 QB hits, 186 pressures on 2452 pass rushing snaps - 1 pressure 8.63 snaps.

So, Thibodeaux is younger and the Pats have some knowledge of him based on Cowden and Shane Bowen.

Highsmith is more polished. He's better against the run and he misses fewer tackles than Thibodeaux.

Literally had a press conference this week where reporters asked Durden how he feels about being the primary nose tackle now.

I won’t pretend to know what the front office is thinking regarding Diggs. However, he couldn’t possibly be pissed regarding his release, because he’s posted several videos, stories, photos etc of his season with us last year…within the last week or so. Someone with an axe to grind with an organization wouldn’t be “romanticizing” their time with them. That being said, if he returns; we dominate. If he doesn’t return; we dominate…

From what I saw on Jacas he's supposedly managing a lingering Hamstring issue he had just before the draft.. so the teams been managing him.. I still believe there's another domino to drop.. edge is definitely upgraded but there's still another difference maker needed and I highly believe the teams im discussion to possibly Trade for Thibiduaux who I always liked.. a edge room with Jacas, Jones, Thibiduaux and Landry if healthy, Ponder as rotation guys would be solid.

Barmore is going to play like a man on a mission he's in contract year.. amazing how that can get the best out of guys.. Barmore is a dam good player but disappeared for large Stretches last season.. wolf even admitted it. He had a dam good playoffs though..

Yeah, I don't want to move Boutte... with that said, I'd strongly have to consider this now the Brown trade has been finalized...

Pure player for player swap, i'm in... would not give up anything else except maybe a late round pick swap, 5th or so... Thats it... Boutte is more valuable than some here seem to think...
I personally don't want to trade Boutte because we need solid depth and he is still improving.
