From watching the Steelers i honestly feel like he’s gonna end up worth it. As a part timer he led the league in pass rush win rate so as a full timer he should be pretty productive. That all being said this backs them into a corner to get rid of watt or highsmith since they are also making huge bucks. Most likely highsmith as i don’t see how anyone would trade for watt and take on that contract- i legit would not take watt for free unless pitt is swallowing more than half of the salary. What a dumb contract when they could have gotten a nice return for him last year. But you know the Steelers, gotta sell out for 9 wins.

If we weren’t already tied up into landry for 2026 id think long and hard about highsmith, his apy is $$17m and i doubt it would take much to trade for him given the Steelers have no leverage now.
