Boutte available for trade?

No one knows how much that hammy injury slowed down boutte. I think he would have ended up with at least 55-60 catches 700-800 yds 8,9 tds.

Boutte had a solid start up until the Atlanta game; when he got hurt and missed some games. I don't get the Doubs signing knowing Boutte is a similar Player. It wouldn't shock me if K Boutte becomes the main beneficiary with A.J. Brown on the other side.

Not showing up to OTA’s is Boutte saying something.
It's the smart move for both he and Gonzo is to sit out.

At the very least they'd be risking injury for relatively small money in terms of their rookie contracts compared to just what they hope to get in an extension signing bonus.

Then there's the AJ Brown trade - which is why AJ Brown isn't attending OTAs either

Although everyone seems to think the Eagles have no interest in replacing their deep threat with our current deep threat in Boutte, I think the Pats are balking at giving up a first rounder in the transaction and thus a 2nd and a player - specifically someone who might be a deep threat for them - makes sense.

Add to that the notion that Brown basically supplants Boutte's role on the team, I can see him being part of that trade

And while the Eagles did draft Lemon it's wise not to put too much stock in what a rookie will do for you. Whether the Eagles want to extend Boutte is another question, but that would be their problem, though I can see them getting him to sign on an incentive ladden extension would give him some guaranteed money

And Gonzo is not??

The difference is Gonzo is going to get paid. The Pats will either pay him or trade him for a bonanza of draft pick(s). The Patriots seem to want to trade Boutte and no team seems to be interested in trading for him. Boutte needs to show he is a team player because he has a bad rep of being a me first guy. It is a bad idea for him to sit out.

If I was Boutte, I would be showing up and forcing the Pats to tell him to go home if they really want him gone.

But there is a chance that him not being there is a mutual agreement between him and the team. If there is, he is definitely gone.

He missed three games. He had 33 catches. He had parts of the season early where he didn't do much over stretches of games before he was injured. So I don't know if the concussion affected him at all. I think you are overestimating his catch total. He averaged less than three catches a game in games he played in.

Same for Diggs Rob: and he was relatively healthy. I think Boutte could reach his potential with AJB.

I don't know if he will be given the opportunity. He will likely be the 3rd or 4th WR with the Patriots.

I think we might have seen his potential reached last year which is good, not great.

I doubt that: I see the Potential WR's in this Exact order AJB - Boutte - Doubs - Barefoot Hollins and KW. It would be Unwise for the Patriots to Trade Boutte knowing they passed on WR last Draft. P.s. unless Pop Douglas figures it out not holding breath; I don't see any room for him on this Team. E Chism easy Practice Squad.

I hesitate to get involved in this thread as it has turned into personal attacks on people who have different opinions as it often does on this site. Boutte is a solid player who has been elevated playing with Drake which has not been mentioned at all. Guess who had their best year in the NFL last year after ten years in the league. That would be Hunter Henry due in large part to playing with a second year Drake Maye. Drake elevates the players around him. I have not seen anyone speak of this in this debate and have no idea why this is never mentioned in disussing any of our receivers. I expect Doubs to also be elevated when he plays in this offense with Drake. If TommyD is correct and they transitioned to Doubs after Boutte turned down an extension, Boutte is done here. He will not be resigned and if they can move him, they should. He is a solid player but the Pats have made their choice of Doubs and Brown. Boutte will not be on the Pats in 2026 is my guess (unless the Brown trade falls through), it it is just a matter of when he is traded, not if. They are not risking him becoming a pita because he is not happy. There are alot of receivers that would put up Boutte's numbers playing with Drake. We need to stop overrating them as a result. If he was as good as some people on here think, there should be a market for him. Let's see if there is. I do not see it, and we will have to settle for a 5th round pick is my prediction.

Do you think he was 100% after the 3 games missed? Have you ever injured your hamstring? Let's say he was miraculously 100% after 3 games missed( he wasnt) you still gotta get your lungs back timing back strength back. He had 40 something catches year before last I dont think I'm overestimating at all.

Hamstring injury * I'm not talking about a concussion

While I agree boutte is gone. I think what's happening here is some posters are reading those tea leaves and there doggin on boutte before he is out the door. I dont think anyone on this website would be doing that if those tea leaves weren't there

And Gonzo is not??
Of course it is. What's your point? We're not talking about Gonzalez and if we were, he's in a hell of a lot stronger bargaining position.

@rochrist share the joke.

The point is that you can't have entitled players like Joe Milton in the locker room going around expecting to be the starting QB. Mayo seemed to have brain washed and enabled lot of these players who are no longer with the team. Vrabel did the right thing shipping his delusional ass out.

I really hope the Boutte rumors were a media fabrication I think they got from this message board because injuries occur like they did in 2025. At some point, Boutte will be needed.

The joke is the idea of Boutte becoming the main beneficiary of AJB coming in.
What do you want to wager?? I don't think you see Boutte's Potential as I do.

What do you want to wager??
You can dunk on me all you like when your JAG becomes the feature player. I've been wrong before. But so have most of us.
