Another "they had a date" story simply doesn't move the needle any more.

Other things might, but then again, they might not.

NFL has said they aren't investigating/punishing this.

Presuming Vrabel still wants to coach, there's not much that can prevent that from happening.

It is going to end because the public will lose interest. To keep the story going, there is going to need to be new information to keep the story going. More pictures of them out together in public are going to get old very quick. We already know of the affair. More pictures of the affair isn't going to sell without a new twist. There isn't going to be a paternity test. The husband doesn't seem to be making waves. Neither is Vrabel's wife. There is no upside for Russini to go scorched earth on Vrabel.

And most credible big name talking heads have stayed out of this matter. Rob Parker and Jason Whitlock are trolls. Florio runs a rumors site that also covers some NFL gossip that legitimate journalists won't touch.

There will be bigger stories coming up that the NFL media will be dealing with and Vrabel will fade into the back. Just like Deflategate did. Just like Spygate did. Just like Aaron Hernandez did. Just like all the drama between Belichick and Brady did. Just like all the drama between Kraft and Belichick did.
