DRAFT Welcome To New England TE Eli Raridon

Oh great. Now we are comparing a generational TE and 13th overall pick to our #95 pick. This is getting even better. You can't even remember who was replying to you last night let alone a month ago. You and your posts are embarrassing. I will grow up when you put the alcohol down.
You won’t…

Not a draftnik at all. But he seems to be the most complete TE in the draft. A blocking TE was a serious deficiency last year. So that area of his game may be more needed than his receiving.

Like the pick. Fits a need. Seems to be a player who could turn into a solid starter to a star. Could be a Baby Gronk.

What they did with the safeties last year suggests it's at least possible.
I hadn’t thought of that. Interesting point. When I thought about why my first thought was “but that was on defense”. I think Vrabes is more willing to take risks. Like that. I don’t see Josh as sharing that level of risk tolerance.

For years it’s bugged me to see rookie WRs come into the league and light it up with other teams while the Patriots consistently make rookies earn a lot of trust before they earn touches. I just don’t see that changing very fast.

I agree that a blocking TE was a point of emphasis this off season. We got Hill primarily for his blocking, although I’m hoping he will show some unexpected receiving skills too. And it looks like Raridon is a pretty good receiver too. I’m liking the way the TE room is shaping up.

I think you are spot on - blocking is a foundation for this offense, TEs and RBs need to be able to block if called to do it

But both Hill and Raridon have potential as pass catchers as well

Hill had 38 catches, 659 yards, 5 TDs coming out of college and Raridon had 32 - and all we need of either of them is just to catch 1-2 passes a game on the other side of Henry to keep Ds honest.

If they are on the field, they are viable pass catching options in this offense

You desperate for attention?

No I was just wondering why you reply to me rather that the person you are actually having a convo with. You have done this multiple times making claims i have never said.

Looking at the upgrades for blocking from our TEs plus the new FB makes me think Henderson and Rham must be loving this offseason!

You replied to me… scroll back.

Secondly you responded to me last night unprovoked with an insult.

So go take a flying fck and stop ruining threads.

Yeah - I remember one time when they asked Henderson to block and he kindof chickened out - but I kindof don't blame him. He's not built for that. But they had no one else with Stevenson out at that point (Stevenson actually CAN block but he's not a plough ahead runner for the goal line either - hence the investments.)

I am watching the draft on the NFL network.

Why do they keep advertising anti-depression medications?

Maybe trying to help Jete fans?
On 2nd thought, Jete fans are too stupid
to know if they're depressed.

Agreed love the pick up! Only slight concerns would be on the knee.. had a knee injury in HS and in college. So hopefully doesn't impact his career. Big, physical, willing blocker and can go up and get it down field. With AJ, doubs he will have plenty of favorable match up.
