But the main reason I say that they all cheat in the NFL is because they live a life of endless opportunity with the cream of the crop or close to it in terms of physical appearance. They're away from their families a huge portion of their time and if you're smart, you won't get caught.

That's my take as well. NFL players have been at the top of their ladder in terms of athletic skill and thus social acceptability since the time they hit puberty. They have the kind of carnal knowledge other people fantasize about. I think that they are so used to being able to score at will that they probably don't think of a side piece as cheating.

I also understand why presumably Mrs V is upset and disappointed, but OTOH I also think she realizes she didn't marry an insurance broker from the suburbs, she married a NFL player who spends his days in a very alpha male environment where accountability to their spouses isn't always going to be the #1 priority.

He was already a NFL player by the time they got married. Their social circle was presumably other NFL players and their significant others, not the insurance broker's wives book club. Sorry for her that this gets rubbed in her face, but them's the chances you take.

Yes, I mentioned this a few days ago. It seems pretty clear her NFL-related career has been torpedo'd, so to speak. One of the few avenues left to her is go to rogue and lean into the harlot role everyone has already cast her into. Take Mike down hard. It's definitely a risk.

I agree. The timing of this isn't perfect, but it at least now allows him to have some down time to try to get everyone around him to either process and accept the situation or for them to move on. It's also a time where he does need to consider that future shoes can and probably will drop.

Agree absolutely. This is a painful, private matter. The purveyors of schlock and titillating drivel in the press and the fools who lap it up like middle school bullies should be ashamed of themselves.
