Player Signing Patriots Sign OT James Hudson III

Arm 32 7/8’’
Another T-Rex??

We had first crack at Jedrick Wills Jr and let him leave the building: former Top 10 pick now with Da Bears.

Jesus hes terrible.

Maybe Vrabes and the staff can coach him up
Nah, just a terrible athlete.

That being said they might have something in Marcus Bryant or Lorenz Metz at OT. I also like the potential of Sebastian Gutierrez to maybe provide something at guard, plus they already have Ben Brown.

They need to add some depth here in the draft, create a situation where they have too many good players.

He pretty much sucks. He’s probably just a camp body, at least I hope that’s the case.

Not sure the NFL has any "terrible" athletes. Just players who don't have the proper motivation, coaching, brains, and talent to be successful at that level.

I'm hopeful for Bryant.

Agree they need depth.

He had one of the worst sequences I’ve ever seen from an OL in that Cowboys game. And I’m not using hyperbole. It was bad.
I don't know what you were watching. The slap looked good, as did the pin at 20 seconds of that video.

...

Oh? He's NOT a professional wrestler?

Hudson should pay the Pats, not the other way around.

BB wouldn’t or would have done this. Pick the path that triggers you the most and let’s duke it out
BB ruined this organization when he resigned from the NYJ… the bastard !!!

Jimmy "The Gift" Hudson

RAS Score means little. Success is about player, system fit, and development, not RAS. People put too much emphasis on it.

Tom Brady (2.74 RAS)
Antonio Brown (3.85 RAS)
Vontaze Burfict (0.17 RAS)
Cooper Kupp (5.00 RAS)
Orlando Brown Jr. (0.72 RAS)

How many players have a great RAS score and Combine numbers but fail? RAS is one small tool in evaluation.

I remember when he got cut a few weeks ago and Giants fans were saying he was the worst OLineman they'd ever seen

That is very true, but the context does not help. The guy was on a total crap team with little hope to succeed. Some guys just can't grow or thrive in that environment. I remember this guy named Rhamondre who had nine total fumbles in 18 games, including two crucial fumbles in a single Week 3 game in 2025. Vrabel did not kick him to the curb. He believed in him and fixed it.

Vrabel spent the 2024 season as a coaching and personnel consultant for the Cleveland Browns, where he worked with the offensive line and James Hudson. Vrabel knows this guy very well and will try to coach out of Hudson what was seen in Cleveland.

This guy is much worse than very bad. I watched him for years in Cleveland. He is a total waste of time and I hope his acquisition is not a deterrent to drafting a tackle.
