Why did he slow down after he cut inside the Safety? Romo said he overshot him but would it have been an overthrow if Brown didn't slow down, not sure.
To my eyes Brown slowed down which made the pass look bad

Good question... a poster said he can't separate anymore so to me.. I'm just a football fan and observer...looking like he was pretty separated from coverage there..

To further my point... did Smith slow down or did hurts overthrow him? Would Drake or Josh complete this pass? Burrow?

Excuse me, as long as you think Bo Nix is a top 5 QB, hell as long as you think he's a top 10 QB you have LOST your credibility with me,

2 never had any credibility with me. He has been wrong about everything for years and years. He thinks the answer to any problem is a WR, and actually said they should take Marvin Harrison Jr. over Maye and " build around him." He thinks that wanting every wide receiver un the NFL makes him an " expert" on the position, when in truth it just reaffirms his stupidity. And one of his most recent takes was that Calvin Ridley is worth his 20 million plus a season when his numbers compare to Austin Hooper.

I'll will say this Fact a better QB than Drake Maye lives in this Division. I'm sure you'll know his name: and Homers please tell me the Younger Maye is currently better. I'll say this Mahomes - Allen - Lamar and Bo Nix ain't kissing Drake Maye's rings this upcoming season. Games aren't played on paper we Need a lot more than we currently have.

Which one of those QB's you listed played better than Drake Maye did last season? And by your logic Maye had lesser weapons last season, which is why you can't stop crying about wide receiver. Go ahead, name them?

I don't doubt your original opinion that Hurts is not a good deep ball passer, but I always find it concerning when players slow on their routes especially when behind the defense.

It will be interesting to see how the Fins do this year - I'm sure they'll find some good bargains in the mix, as pretty much their entire team would be considered bargains with so many vet minimum guys... but damn.

As of Friday, $182 million of the Dolphins’ salary cap dollars, or nearly 60 percent of their $308 million salary cap, is tied up in dead cap money for players no longer with the team.

Of the 24 free agents they have signed through Thursday, 21 will make the veteran’s minimum salary.

A total of 43 of their 70 players are signed for the minimum. The next-highest team has 31 such players, and league average is 23.

Only 10 of the Dolphins’ 70 players have a salary cap number of $2 million or greater.

Yeah. What these idiots don't understand is that when you pair a first ballot HOF WR with a first ballot HOF QB you get nothing but rings baby!!!

Example Given: Calvin Johnson and Mathew Stafford during the Lions Dynasty! Nothing but rings baby!!!!! You tell rm'2.!
How about Brady/Moss? How many rings did they get?

Hurts is the problem....not AJ

AJ Brown slowed up. Had he kept running, it was a TD. Not that facts matter to you or any of the WR UBER ALLES brigade.

Hurts is a 66.1% complete QB over the last 4 years. So, you cherry pick videos to show that Hurts over-throws Smith and Brown.
Hurts has never been a major "deep ball" guy, but he makes 50-65 attempts a year. Just because he over-threw Smith doesn't mean he over-threw Brown. Brown slowed up. Your own video said as much.. 3 other posters have said as much..
Let's see where the likes of Josh Allen, Pat Mahomes, Lamar Jackson ,and Jason Stafford fall for completion % on passes of 20+ yards:

2025:
Allen - 43.4%
Mahomes - 34.4%
Jackson- 46.3%
Stafford - 47.1%
Hurts - 38.5%

2024:
Allen - 35.6%
Mahomes - 26.1%
Jackson- 38.8%
Stafford - 41.1%
Hurts - 40.5%

2023
Allen - 36.8%
Mahomes - 28.6%
Jackson- 31.7%
Stafford - 51.9%
Hurts - 35.9%

2022
Allen - 41.0%
Mahomes - 44.4%
Jackson- 29.8%
Stafford -33.3%
Hurts - 39.3%

Deeps balls over 20+ yards do not have a high percentage success rate. The exception was Brock Purdy in 2023 where he had a 638% completion rate. Sam Darnold had the highest completion rate at 58.8% in 2025 and 51.1% in 2024 (of QBs who had 42 and 37 attempts respectively).

You attempting to put all the blame on Hurts shows that your understanding of football ilacking.

I understand your thinking... what's wrong in Philly is internally something is amiss between Sirrianni, hurts and the front office. Now Hurts prior to getting AJ was nearly traded for Russell Wilson. Watching the eagles offense last season was awful. Hurts has two excellent guys on the outside and a all pro RB.. and a good TE.. now just imagine Drake with those very same weapons.

It's the QB position in Philly.

Did you mean "is lacking"?
I think he's trying to make up for what he's lacking...

All I need to say...

Drake Maye is a better QB than Nix. I think Nix is top 12. Maybe 10th. League changes QBs more than clothes so you could probably say Nix is top 10. Nix has more explosive offensive weapons right now. So it gives him an advantage. But obviously there is another gear that Drake Maye can hit than Nix cannot. So in order for Nix to work you need to give him elite weapons like a Waddle or a Sutton.

But one thing we need to come to grips with is that Drake Maye is not Tom Brady. He’s a completely different QB. He like any other QB needs weapons that can help him get to the next level. The WR room is okay ish. Doubs is okay. Boutte is okay. Pop is mid. The most dependable weapon is still Hunter Henry. They need someone else to be that main target otherwise I’m not sure Maye improves on last year.

IF H Henry who is another year older and who disappears against Good/Great Defenses is our best weapon...we are in trouble.
