How do you propose to fix no ligaments non-surgically?
Did I miss something?

Where did anyone say anything about “no ligaments”?

Sorry meant to say cartilage.
No prob. I’m also thinking there are different degrees of bone on bone. You can have damaged cartilage with some parts of the knee being bone on bone and other parts still having some cartilage remaining, or it can be all gone. He could’ve had damage to the medial meniscus that needed to be smoothed out, and depending on the extent of damage and nature of surgical repairs more or less could be gone. We just don’t know how bad his knee really is. We can assume his knee is, in the words of one of my orthopedic surgeons, “toast”, or we can assume it’s fine. We don’t know. We will see in just a few months. Meanwhile he’s certainly damaged goods even if we don’t know how badly damaged, so it’s prudent to plan and prepare for the worst while hoping for the best.

He has a knee injury. He played 12 games after injuring it.
Almost every NFL player gets a knee injury.
He is having surgery to correct it.
Take away the made up rumors and that’s what you have.
Spending draft picks and 16 million to get a less productive player in his place is ridiculous

The question I have is it's now been 5 weeks since the SB, and no word of a surgery. What are they waiting for?
Its possible that he wants his medical information kept out of the media. When is surgery, what kind of surgery. I would put money on the Pats organization knowing all the details, but they keep it from stooges like us.

Someone asked about fixing a bone on bone knee and there are artificial cartilage that have shown to be effective in normal people, but who knows if it could work on a NFL player. They can use your own cartilage cells grown onto a collagen membrane and they also have artificial cartilage made of a hydrogel.

Stem cells treatments can also help with cartilage regrowth, but again not sure of efficacy in high level athlete.

He had an ACL in TN.

Bone on bone is cartilage problem not ACL.

Do we even know it’s the same knee?

Fun fact. Years ago, in my 30s, I had my left knee ‘scoped for a bucket handle tear of the medial meniscus from a high school football injury many years before. Surgeon who did it had his listing in the yellow pages as “practice limited to arthroscopic surgery of the knee”. When I wrapped my car around a tree in a snowstorm and twisted my right knee apart I needed an ACL replacement so i called him. His response was “Oh, I don’t do those!” He only did cartilage, not ligaments! So for awhile I had my left knee surgeon and my right knee surgeon, as two different specialists. TL;DR: I know way more than I ever wanted to know about injuries and surgery of the knees.
Wow goodness!!! I'm glad you survived that ordeal!! usually hitting a tree never fares well!! Thank you for Sharing this.. I enjoy learning new things it's enlightening and gives great perspectives.

As simply a fan and just looking at how hard Landry worked to get back from the ACL in 2022.. then getting hurt again and it's unknown if it's the same knee? I'd really be interested to know this..

I'm thinking the team is preparing for him to probably not be a full go come camp.. Lowe if you remember had off season shoulder surgery I believe and was on PUP all offseason essentially..

For Landry he'll be 30 this summer age& injuries are never good for an NFL player.

It's ok. Some people just have problems reading.
Evidently you.
Go ahead and list anything you think I misquoted. I was literally responding to your words.

Nah. The last thing i think this team needs is another solid starter that eats into our cap space. I think it is best to save our powder for impact players.
