We definitely have to figure out TE2.

I always assumed it was doubtful he’d come here to be a TE2 though, even with the Mike connection.

Watching the same tv here.

Not sure we still need TE nor if he’d be what we need.

We definitely need A tight end. Whether that be in FA or the draft, they need another one, preferably either on the younger side or better side of Henry.

I feel like every obvious option in FA feels like they’ll be too good to accept a TE2 guy, and also would be a bit redundantly old.

Chig was the last younger decent TE out there.

I think we need TE, an edge and a LB at minimum.

Probably going to be older veterans for 1 year and then draft?

The AJ Brown after June 1 is in play as well.

Yeah, in which case Njoku makes sense. He's not going to be TE2. That all depends on money or whatever.

Will Dissly was a name that popped up. Was still a good pass blocker in 2024 and can come cheap.

Njoku should be the target. Lots of untapped potential that could be unlocked.

Blah! I like him for us. Would have added diversity to the 2 TE package as an actual move TE (as opposed to just an in line guy who's a receiver over blocker - there's a difference between that and an actual move TE). Certainly has his warts but that's why he would come at a reasonable price (this deal is "up to" $10M/year and we most know deals are backloaded too of course). Would have been an added dimension to the offense and his route tree fills in some of the gaps we lost with Diggs.

Oh well, he's no one to throw a fit over not getting.

How many players have Washington added? Did they have that much cap space?

Vrabel specifically came out and said how much he liked the TEs in this draft. We’re drafting one and maybe two.

Can Westover or Dippre be a stopgap until the rookie takes over?

I thought for sure the Pats would target this guy. But he is more of a pure pass catcher and not a blocker. Maybe they are only going to target a guy who can do both.

But the Commanders have no one really at TE with Ertz being a free agent. Okonkwo is the clear #1 TE on their team where he would be fighting with Henry for that spot here. That could be the deciding factor for him.

Its supposed to be a fairly deep TE draft class this year.

It will have to be because I doubt we will pick one at 31 and 62 is pretty far along for a guy you hope will start as the #2 getting lots of snaps in the 2 TE offense AND hopefully replacing Henry down the road.

I forgot just how badly picking at the end of every round sucks

"Chig Okonkwo"

Any idea what the guy's REAL name is, so, you know, I can look him up?

We need 2.
A real receiving threat to replace Henry and a blocker.
I'm hopeful for 2 in the draft.
There are some really intruiging prospects.
I'm glad we aren't signing any of these average retreads.
Draft or bust!

Maybe that's why Bill drafted nothing but safeties, Rutgers special teamers, and guys with bad knees.
