NFLPA report card: Complaints about Pats plane (edit: Florio talking about last year's report)

These complaints sound really whiney... do they want to retrofit existing ashtrays???
Have seen several video's about this plane and they all seem pretty nice to me.. heard players comment how nice it is to have familiar staff on board.
Could it be as simple as if you ask about something that people tend to focus on the negative, I know Kraft was not happy with previous years report cards and has spent quite a bit of $$$ on a new workout/training facility...
If you look for problems they will be found..

Do they really not have WiFi I would lose my mind

Could always be worse…

I’d be astonished if they don’t have WiFi, it’s such an easy upgrade. I assume anyone saying “WiFi” really means “WiFi plus StarLink” or some other satcom equivalent to StarLink.

I mean, I have WiFi in my little four seat bugsmasher airplane, but no satellite just because it’s not worth it to me not because it’s a problem.

Ashtrays and no wifi are a detriment to preparedness for athletic performance? Who knew.

Here's a look at the plane in 2021, looks pretty nice. Kind of crazy they have 2 fully crewed planes ready to go on every trip. Kraft said there are no ashtrays and they renovated the inside and didn't put in ash trays, that's just not true.

Why are we talking about this again? This came up after last season. It was ridiculous then and it's ridiculous now..
Apparently the Pats haven’t had to forfeit any draft picks because of it yet.

No WiFi is a detriment. Can’t communicate or collaborate while in flight. That’s lost prep time on the way to the game, lost review time on way home. Can’t even view film without downloading it before departure, which is a needless hassle.

I’d expect anyone who thinks about it would know that.

They can just download what they need to download before boarding no? Shouldn't be that much of a hassle. I would think peer to peer works fine for collaboration if there can't be an internet connection....

You still need wifi for peer to peer. The issues involved in adding internet are minor once you’re adding a flight qualified wifi router. If you’re talking about using your device hotspot for P2P that’s just so lame. Inconvenient, bandwidth limited, doesn’t scale well, no multiplayer groups, etc.

Adding WiFi with satcom is so easy I just can’t image Kraft doesn’t have it on all his planes, not just the heavies.

This is from last year's NFLPA survey.. The one completed after Mayo's season.

I see that now.

So, in that case, def need smokes after getting railed like that.

Wait! Brady isn't on the roster anymore?!? When did that happen? Him leaving the Patriots should be huge news. How did I miss that?
You don't remember? he and Bill retired together, a shining example of Sportsmanship & the Team First ideal, walking the tunnel of Gillette Stadium arm in arm, for one last time...

it was truly a touching moment

Bob is in the charter business. His planes are not exclusively used by the team. His plane inventory just happens to be old and dated.
Seahawks charter plane was huge

Changed the title since this is Florio regurgitating last year's report.

I thought the Pats had more than one plane anyway. One had ashtrays and the other doesn't?

Starlink is SUCH an easy hardware upgrade for a couple airplanes. And not expensive per airplane per month.
Another Musk win.

They have two. Both 767-300ERs, N36NE (sn 25193) and N225NE (sn 25194). Believe from the sequential serial numbers they are duplicates of each other. Acquired at the same time, both renovated to Pats’ specs, so would expect seats would be identical down to the ashtrays. Or lack thereof.
