If would be dumbfounding for a HC with the track record of Harbaugh who has (reportedly) garnered strong interest from multiple teams to pick a team without a legit starting QB, or an obvious path to acquiring a legit starting QB in the near future. The Dolphins have no QB and have a losing culture dating back 2 decades.

The Giants, if he thinks that Dart is legit, should be first on his list.
I'd put the Raiders above the Dolphins, too. At least they have the top pick for a QB and the ability to remake that whole team. And Brady probably has a lot of respect for Harbaugh.

The Raiders connection could be a notable one. Dolphins will have to either sell him on Tua, or sell him on who he can bring in at QB.

Raiders at least give him a choice of what he wants at QB. Plus a chance to play his brother twice a year.

Jackson to Tua.

Harbaugh would jump out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Jets job would be attractive IMO.

All those picks. You would have at least 3 years to show progress.

What's Miami's draft pick situation? Didn't they add some this year?
Number 11 and a couple extra thirds/comp picks. Not enough to move the needle or get a QB unless you get extremely lucky. They are 23 mil min over the CAP for '26 as well.

In short, they aren't in a very good situation period and this QB class isn't the '20 or '24 class with many top of the draft QB prospects.

For you (or the board) is Mendoza a better prospect coming out than Maye was? I don't know much about him.
Mendoza is a little bigger in size, more accurate, but quite a bit less of a runner (though he is opportunistic). He will likely have a much slower 40, if that matters. Has the arm to make all of the throws, and has repeatedly come through in the clutch.

Mendoza doesn't wow you statistically much at all (other than his >70% completion percentage), though, perhaps because IU relies on a road grading O line and they run the ball more than they pass, especially in seconds halves. He also has had just one year playing at this level. Oh, he was GOOD at Cal, but was not thought of as a can't miss guy. Maybe the residual of being a 2 star recruit whose one offer was from Yale, until Cal had a late scholarship open up for him.

If you have ever heard him speak, the intangibles seem off the charts. Super smart. Business major and A student.

So I think Mendoza is by far the best prospect THIS YEAR, but Maye's class was was deeper and so it's hard to compare.

What a win for SF. They are going to get another coach back. Maybe McDaniel even joins McVay in LA.

He's going to learn from this a re-emerge at some point. He's a talented offensive mind, but he runs out of ideas once the opposition stops his initial attack. He relies too much on razzle dazzle and the big play.

Sounds like Cleveland has interest in him as a head coach. Browns interested in Mike McDaniel, who was fired by the Dolphins, for their head coach job

Stephen Ross has close ties to Michigan. So does Harbaugh (both is father and brother coached there). There is a relationship.

I am torn about this.

The McDaniel-Tagovailoa era was a nice train wreck to watch.

Hope the Fish don’t have a quick rebuild like the Pats did….

He’s trying to say if you look at random data points long enough you can start to imagine patterns.

This point was already covered ad nauseum in “A Beautiful Mind”
