Wow! Sorta late for this decision. Maybe they saw Harbaugh, Stefanski and other legit candidates and thought there are much better "leaders" out there... One thing is for sure - Mike McD is an odd duck and comes off like he's a millennial punk. Billion dollar franchises don't need that foolishness as the man leading the charge.

While I agree with you that it's not the best opportunity, Ross has deep pockets and guys want to be there. It's less than ideal... you are stuck with Tua, you've got to deal with the Pats and Bills. But if you go to NY, with Dart and Nabors, you have to deal with Philly. If you go to Vegas, it's a ground up fix, but the first pick is enticing. I'm just reading the tea leaves that they called Harbaugh then fired the King Pin. The others are a mess. Titans? Browns? Arizona? Yuck. Falcons is a soft division, but Blank doesn't have a winning pedigree. Penix is unproven while Cousins is Cousins.

Yup that first pick is intriguing. The two best openings are NYG and Vegas.

However, you're not wrong.

Good coaches come first, they build good programs that discover and develop good players. Bad coaches hire bad employees.

It’s an attractive landing spot for free agents, no state tax, latinas, paradise… don’t want a good coach going there.

It only takes a couple seasons to turn a bad team around depending on their cap situation and personnel.

Really with those Hurricanes no thanks...would like to visit but to hell I'm living there.

Lived there for decades, hurricanes there are not so different than nor’easters up here. Also Miami is a magical place in the jet stream where most hurricanes get pushed north into middle and upper Florida.

Hopefully Josh will stick around. Time for the Krafts to open that wallet. I think Josh is at least as important to the team's improvement as Vrabel. It's a lotweasier to "build a culture" with a working offense.
