Even if Houston and Jacksonville wins, LAC still have to keep up with Buffalo or else they slip to the #7 seed with a loss at Denver. I'm thinking LAC would rather go to JAX then back to Denver.

I think you might be incorrect on that.
Chargers want no part of going to the East Coast if they can help it. Not to mention they got waxed by Jacksonville about a month ago.

They're used to it, they play there every year.
The East Coast thing is way more detrimental to the Chargers than playing in Denver.

It's Bills or Chargers if Pats beat Miami.

Interesting scenario because Bills could rest the starters and still beat the Jets but if they completely throw the game, they are doing it so they can play the Patriots instead of the Jags (assuming Texans and Jags win and they both play at 1 PM).

IF the Patriots win then the most likely opponent is the Chargers who likely rest Herbert and hand Denver the 1 seed. If Pats win and Chargers win we get the 1 seed.
The wild scenario is where the Bills try to lose to the Jets and repeat last year's Pats game.

That will be tough for the Bills because the Jets are trying even harder to tank. But we know that McDermott is pretty expert at this.

More chargers fans are starting to think they will go all out to beat Denver. Quite a few fans seem to want them to rest but they feel harbaugh will want to try since the seeding is still not set completely.

As i said in another thread wouldn’t be suprised to Buffalo rest allen and others but i think they will still beat nyj. If buffalo and lac lose plus pats win we face buffalo in a 2 vs 7 matchup

Herbert getting the left arm banged up last game I think leads them to rest Herbert. Not sure what incentive there is for them to be 6 seed over 5 or 7. Texans probably win easily so they are talking 6 vs 7 seed, what's the point of putting your guys at risk.

Being the 5 means they get a walkover against Pittsburgh or Baltimore.

McDermott's fallback plan if the Bill's are leading at the half, is to start punting on third down.

Its funny reading all the posts about possible opponents and who may try to lose to get certain match ups. Personally, I dont give two $%!^* who we play. I want to beat Miami this week simply because I dont want them to finish the season with an L. If I had my choice I want Buffalo in round#1. I want the Pats to crush their dreams right out the gate and for their miserable fans who think that since they won they AFC East for 5 years (but not 6) that they are a dynasty to fall right off the edge of the cliff. I dont expect the Pats to go the distance because they would need to play every game almost perfect and that will be hard to do 3 games in a row against quality opponents. Can they run the tables....hell yes, I aint never counting them out! But if we can make some noise in the playoffs it will cap off a remarkable season blowing away everyone's expectations. I want the league on notice that the Pats are back and we are a F&@!ING PROBLEM!
