Dolphins for sure. Right now we cant stop anybody on the ground and Achane is a pain,
Agreed.. not having Spillane yesterday really hurt the running game.. where has Barmore been??

This morning vrable said that buffalo leads the league in holding calls, but they weren't flag once for holding yesterday. This lends credence to the idea that jets central on park avenue wants to see certain teams in the playoffs.

After the Bo Nix love affair going on in here, had to go take a look at some of that game. From late in the 3rd Q through the end, I counted 2-3 very good/great throws and 4-5 passes that legitimately could have been intercepted. I guess just the clutch gene that made defenders drop balls. Do I think Maye played well? No. He never looked comfortable to me, but I'll wait for some all 22 and analysis to come out first and see what Buffalo did to confuse him, see if he was not seeing open receivers, etc. Clutch gene talk is ********. You can hyper fixate on the 4th quarter comeback if you want, but if you don't think Drake has made plays when we needed them while winning 11 games then I don't know what to tell you. However, I think we do need to see if we can make strides in the short, precision passing game. You can't always count on the intermediate/deep stuff in the big moments with the Defense is locked in and pressure is getting home quick. Drake and Josh need more answers for those situations.

IF that Defense pulls that against Lamar it will be long night for us. Good thing the Ravens are trying to make him a pocket passer: which might be to our benefit.
I have a strange feeling going to lose against Baltimore and win against Miami and jets...

Of course IF we play like we did in the Second half yesterday.

I don't think so. None of those teams have the offense buffalo does. And the defense on all 3 of those teams is not good.

Lamar is not Lamar right now and doesn't have great weapons, Henry might be able to do some thing but they will probably be the focus of the defense

Williams should be back for that game.

This Jets and dolphins games won't be easy..
The Dolphins game will be difficult if they still have something to play for, the Jets have been blown out the last two weeks, down to to their third string QB, they should win that by ten points at least.

This isn’t Baltimore of old, or even the last few years. If we can stop Henry, we should be fine..

I think we have some dogs on D. Would love to hear more philosophy either on this thread or another on Defensive schemes. I personally am a fan of 4-4, would mix in 5-2 as we have a shutdown corner but not frequently. Its a different game. Josh is a great talent. Obviously he is looking to and wanting to run, and he will take on those linebackers cause of his size. If he beats me with his arm so be it. But those runs are extending drives man. Killer on the defense. They need help and scheming with a bit of opportunistic mix. Just a matter I suppose of philosophy. Would love to see more stunts but you also have to get him on the ground when you get there. I would not nickel nor dime them. No thanks.

Lets be honest, love our team this year but we are going to have to go through Buffalo. Would prefer that be in Gilette.

Until then, all energy on the Ravens. Another big game. We are coming back and the games mean something in December. This is a good thing!

I think we need to all let our emotions settle down and understand that Drake was the same QB in the first half that had his team up 21 points.. so for me as a fan I'm not going to place the blame on the QB who's large reason why we have the record we have. Special teams and primarily the defense not being able to stop Buffalo allowing 5 straight TD drives was the reason we lost..

All in all.. they needed a loss after 10 weeks of winning.. in my opinion as a fan this adversity is good thing for them going forward..
It’s really a repeat of the Raiders game. We stopped running the ball.
We had 5 drives in the second half and ran the ball 3 times. Despite one of them being a 65 yard run.
We threw 15 times with 3 of them resulting in sacks and a number of others in pressures.
We somehow managed to turn a 250 yard rushing day into a second half where the bills ignored our running game and attacked the pass rush.
All of that after building a 17 point lead by running 22 times and throwing 11 and dominating the game.
There is no excusing a defense allowing 5 straight TD drives but Josh bears a lot of responsibility for this loss after being the number 1 blame for the Raiders loss.
Stevenson ran 6 times for 50 yards in the first half, Maye 4 for 43. Neither had a rush in the second half.

Whatever Buffalo did to our Offense without a key CB on Defense is puzzling. Let's hope they don't have some sort of blue print on Maye: because we can bet the Ravens will copy. Also TE's Knox and Kincaid hurt us: you cant bet M Andrews and Isaiah Likely are licking their chops.

I wonder if the Christian Benford injury contributed to some of the 2nd half offensive gameplan.

Were the Patriots looking to go long? Did they think they could exploit Trey White and Maxwell Hairston since the Bills were missing Benford?

Maye had plenty of time to throw, but the Bills flooded the deep areas and dared the Patriots to stay patient by throwing to the backs. In the first half, the Patriots completed a lot of plays short and for the most part stayed on schedule.

Penalties also hurt us in the second half. Vederian's false start. Holding call against Onwenu. This hurt drives. When you're being given the short game, you need to take it, but you also need to be perfect and not make mistakes.

I consider yesterday a coaching fiasco on the part of McDaniels, Vrabel and especially Kuhr, more than I put it on any of the players. At the end of the day, McDermott got the better of them.

All they did was guard against over the top throws. That's it. They dropped 6 guys back to guard our 3.

We needed to focus on the short game and stay patient.

But you could see Maye had plenty of time and no one to throw it too.

They needed better designs to counter what the Bills did.

Yeah on that play: but you couldn't find Diggs - H Henry and K Boutte with a search warrant for most of the game.

First half: 2000 Ravens/2013 Seahawks

Second half:

Listen Maye haters. The offense did enough and scored enough to should have won the game. The defense gave up 5 straight TDs on 5 straight drives. You can not do that and expect to win any game. ST coverage was not good and the defense was flat out terrible second half. Key players were sorely missed and the truth was on display for all to see. This team will live or die by our starting players, we simply do not have the depth yet to compete at a high level if there’s injuries. Not sure how many pressures Lowe allowed, but he didn’t play great either.
