There was talk on post game of his shoulder/ arm a possibility was hurt on that scramble.. he's proved alot this season.. his teams been good enough where they hadn't been in situations often having to come from behind to win.. they have been down plenty in games all season and Drake takes the lead in games.. defense and STs is your primary reason of the loss..
IMO, the passing game was MIA.

Boutte had 1 target for 30 yards
Henry 3 targets for 18 yards
Pop no targets
Diggs 4 targets for 26 yards
Hollins 8 targets for 41 yards

Maye passed for a 61% completion rate which is low for him. Only 155 passing yards and 0 passing TDs. Maye has 0 - 4th quarter comeback wins to date and only 1 game winning drive.

That aint gonna buy the baby no shoes.

We knew that’s where they could hurt us. Buffalo’s WRs aren’t anything to worry about, but their TEs & RBs do all the damage skill position-wise. Jam their receivers, bracket Kincaid & Knox..

The thing that perplexes me is how our Entire Offense Folded in the Clutch. It's like Bye-Week did them no good. We have Won games like yesterday before this Team needs to find it's Clutch Genes.
We were up 21-0.. they have been down in games all season and have shown resilance.. the Buffalo game week 5.. the Miami game.. the TB game... offense didn't do squat in second half.. however defense was embarrassing.. it's like mayo came back and was coaching the defense yesterday..

Frustrating loss in a game that obviously should have had a different outcome. Outscored 28-7 in the second half...just brutal.

We're on to Baltimore next Sunday night on SNF. Discuss.
I have one strategic concern about yesterday's loss:

We did not lose Super Bowl 52 because Malcolm Butler was benched. We lost because with the ball, all our timeouts and the two minute warning versus a defense that could not stop us, instead of running the ball to gain yardage, cross the defense up and take the pressure off our QB, Josh dropped the quarterback back to pass and Tom was inevitably strip-sacked.

Yesterday, again with the ball, all our timeouts and the two minute warning versus a defense that can not stop the run, Josh again repeatedly dropped the quarterback back to pass against the second best pass defense in the league. This touchdown-needing, game-winning drive was inevitably wasted with Drake again put in terrible position.

The only person I can think of to stop this suicidal madness and save our chances going forward is Coach Vrabel.

Chaisson - 49 snaps, 1 pressure, 0 hits, 0 sacks
Landry - 52 snaps, 1 pressure, 0 hits, 1 sack

EDGE is the biggest area of need on the team by a mile. Also, Davis has given up 68 yards in his last 5 games. There's really no excuse to be in zone coverage on 3rd down or having a TE guarded by a LB. They need to blitz & trust their CBs more because otherwise they won't be getting pressure often.

Probably a safe bet that any team who gives up 35 points is likely going to lose?

Crunch time.
If the Pats win out, they win the division. Period.
If the Pats lose to Baltimore, but beat the Jets and the Dolphins, and the Bills win out, the Bills win the Division based on conference wins and common opponents.
Forget about yesterday. The Pats control their destiny.
if pats beat jets and fins wont pats win the division based on better division record ?

Maye was off.

He has not proven that he can play from behind. The Giants game was cold, but was not yesterday's game colder?

I one Maye INT was essentially a punt. The other INT that Buffalo dropped was bad.
Still don't understand how our Offense was so bottled up. I thought we had more Offensively than Buffalo.

The idiots whining about " clutch" apparently haven't been paying attention all season as Maye has converted in 3rd and 4th and long to keep drives going and give them leads their defense was able to hold. He's a great young QB and Buffalo is the only team who would trade their quarterback for him right now, and even they would be wrong not too.

If I get the chance I'll be taking the names of those ****ting on him, and believe me when I say that I won't forget them, and I'll be sure to remind them for the next 15 years or so. Sam's mea culpa lasted until the winning streak ended, now he has invalidated it. What a bunch of know nothing assholes.
What's wrong with saying he failed an exam? Which he did, mightily. I was thinking more last night and this morning. I was deployed or something when the Pats played Miami in Miami I want to say in '03 or '04. I missed the game but saw the highlights and iirc TB12 had something abysmal like 80 passing yards or something like that and they got blown out. I remember thinking, thats reaaaaaly blows by TB12, but that was A) in Miami in October I think, and B) he had won a SB or 2 by that point.

Maye hasn't done any of that so he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. He is a very, very good QB but the NFL is littered with those. We want him to be ELITE and there is plenty of time for him to get there. But I will **** on him for his performance yesterday, it was abysmal. No QB that is elite (rookie, second year etc etc) drops a nothing burger in multiple second halves of games, including a game that gets you a div title. I am very interested to see what him and the offense do on the road against a pretty decent Baltimore defense.

It's been this way all year twin.. difference is we were winning.. I'd tend to worry more on the other side of the ball that gave up 35 points..

Yess it was: and if Boutte's one catch was reviewed it would have been overturned. C Benford wasn't even playing for the Bills: that was embarrassing for us.

Not if the Bills choke in Denver or in California vs the Rams.
I believe Denver is chomping at the bit to see Buffalo in the playoffs again.. remember they beat them at home last season.... Allen won't have the luxury of playing the patiots defense then...

IF that Defense pulls that against Lamar it will be long night for us. Good thing the Ravens are trying to make him a pocket passer: which might be to our benefit.
