I would take a one point win: a win is a win. That was my plan for the first Bills game, worked to perfection.
The Pats would win the AFCE.What happens with the AFCE is NE loses their next two, wins their last two, and Buffalo wins out?
I agree our offense has a lot more confidence and the development of Henderson and (to a much lesser extent) Williams adds more explosiveness. Similarly, that was also Gonzo's first game back and he's been playing much better since then.
But our run defense is significantly worse than it was (lack of Milton and Harold Landry/Chiasson wearing down).
That's probably the biggest change on either team since week 5. Their D will either be lacking Bosa or he will be playing very banged up, so that's a plus but Bills aren't going to get back-breaking pressure regardless, the strength of their D is largely Corner/Safety play.
Media still obsessed with Bills/Chiefs/RavensAnalysts are picking Buffalo because of Josh Allen. And because they are "desperate". Does desperation mean bad receivers will suddenly get open? The OC stops calling dumb play calls? The bad run defense suddenly gets better? They lost to Miami & Atlanta on the road. They would have lost to a bad Bengals team sans a miracle. Josh Allen was present for all of these games.
Media seems to be making the Bills out to be some sort of elite team. They aren't. They have a great QB/RB. They lack at HC imo. The Patriots might get beat. But it won't be because the Bills are a juggernaut.
It's for the simple fact that the media doesn't want to admit they were wrong with their preseason picks.Analysts are picking Buffalo because of Josh Allen. And because they are "desperate". I never got the love for Baltimore to begin with. What exactly have they and Lamar accomplished in this league? They have an embarassing home AFC title game loss and are 3-6 in the postseason. Their wins include: beating a Tannehill led Titans team, beating a young & inexperienced Stroud led Texans team and defeating a collapsing Steelers squad.Media still obsessed with Bills/Chiefs/Ravens
Bills are all but in. Unless Allen gets injured. They don't get in if Houston and the Chargers have a better record
The run defense has gotten worse since his injury. James Cook is a top three RB in the league. I think the Patriots should sellout to stop the run. Make those receivers try and beat them. "James Cook cannon beat us" should be highlighted by Vrabel. Allen will make plays. But he will also make mistakes eventually.Overall, I dont feel good about this game. Bills will be coming in hot and no Williams is going to make a difference. Williams was very active in the last game.
Nah, this is a biggest game NE has had for years. Buffalo has controlled this division since 2020. People have been talking all year about how NE's had an easy schedule. Well, here's their chance to send a message by sweeping Buffalo and reclaiming the division. But it's bigger than Buffalo as NE is keeping pace with Denver for the #1 seed. This is 1996 all over again where Buffalo was in control of the division since the late 80's. Had NE lost to Buffalo at home, Buffalo would've won the tie breaker and again taken the division at 10-6. This is not time for a home let down against a divisional opponent.
I agree. Buffalo has been hanging on for dear life this entire season and losing again to NE is going to send a message to management that big changes are going to need to be made. It's not like they've had major injuries, it's more that their team is getting passed up by NE. I also see Buffalo slipping up and losing at least one more game. I could see Buffalo getting bounced in the first round if they don't win the division.
