It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Koppen is probably the best C the Pats have ever had…at least since the 80s modern era. This will sound insane but for THIS team I think I’d pick Trey Flowers. Dude was a darned good edge rusher for us and we could use it.
Second might be Dan Koppen…don’t think he ever made a pro bowl.
Probably Bryan Stork who is the best dynasty era Center but unfortunately had his career cut short.
Also Jabaal Sheard, Akeem Ayers, or Shaq Mason.
I'd go with Dave Wohlabaugh as the Pats best C since I've been watching in the 90's. However, I Stork would've easily been in the conversation of the best C of the dynasty era had he not sustained those concussions. He was hyped up his rookie year for bringing some much needed edge to the O-line.Koppen is probably the best C the Pats have ever had…at least since the 80s modern era.
Woody couldn’t shotgun snap and Andrews was a notch below…
uh, have to disagree on Bryan Stork... Stork was a head bobber... teams could time snaps based on his tells... David Andrews was a much better center...
This was still a time when most C's jobs were much more difficult and had to communicate with the QB for the snap. Denver is always a tough place to play and adding the crowd noise was a huge advantage. Those days are over. Now we see G's jumping up out of their stance and alerting the C when to to snap it. The NFL continues to dumb down the game for offenses. You’re probably thinking of the Denver road AFCCG, which I was at. It was insanely loud and they had to use a silent count. Stork was following Brady’s leg which Brady never lifted more than once. I’d put this on coaching or Brady far more than Stork. The OL coach, Gugs, was fired that offseason for what it’s worth.

Woody was an underwhelming C where he was so bad snapping the football, the Pats pretty much eliminated shotgun from the offense in 2000 and had to sign Mike Compton in 2001 to take over those duties. Woody was not able to get his job back from Koppen after he returned from injury in 2003.

Stork gets some unfair blame on this, but he's low on my list as to why they lost that day.
The next year Stanley Morgan also made the Pro Bowl with 84 catches and 1500 yards. 10 TDs.
We need flexibility, Solder could play anywhere on the line besides center. Vollmer was only a RT, also he made an All Pro team. I know the OP said Pro Bowl but I figured it disqualified Seabass.I'd take Vollmer over Solder, honestly.
For FB, Marc Edwards was pretty solid for the Pats..
All Pro is obviously in higher regard than the Pro Bowl. I missed that he made it in 2010. I'll have to take him off my list.We need flexibility, Solder could play anywhere on the line besides center. Vollmer was only a RT, also he made an All Pro team. I know the OP said Pro Bowl but I figured it disqualified Seabass.
Vollmer was NOT only a RT. Vollmer spent time at LT as well. In fact, he was the Pats LT for most of 2015 including the Wild Card and Conference Championship games. We need flexibility, Solder could play anywhere on the line besides center. Vollmer was only a RT, also he made an All Pro team. I know the OP said Pro Bowl but I figured it disqualified Seabass.
I agree but I'm not sure Brown is the proper comparison. He's more of a Ja'Marr Chase type, long baller.I’ll take it to my grave. If Morgan played with todays rules, nutrition and conditioning, he would be better than Antonio Brown without the mental issues.
Tip made the Pro Bowl five times.Andre Tippet
If we can have one player back today I would also vote for Nate Solder. We need flexibility, Solder could play anywhere on the line besides center. Vollmer was only a RT, also he made an All Pro team. I know the OP said Pro Bowl but I figured it disqualified Seabass.
He never made the Pro Bowl because by the time he arrived the voting public suffered from Patriot fatigue. Didn’t matter how much they won. People hated the Pats by the 2010’s.If we can have one player back today I would also vote for Nate Solder.
He was a mountain of a man and a rock solid left tackle.
I'm surprised he never made a pro bowl but I remember him as always playing pretty solid when protecting TB12's blindside.
He would fill in really nice right now to cover for Campbell's injury.
Tippet was a beast who could take over and dictate a game on defenseTip made the Pro Bowl five times.
****, I figured this was an exercise in doing your research, but never would have guessed Develin got in. Sorry to start the string on picking Develin.I love that Gash has been mentioned a few times... but he was a pro bowler. So in that vein, and no offense to Westover or Tonga, give me Develin.
There are "better" players, but he would be great on this team.
