Daniels: Vederian Lowe played much of 2024 with torn labrum

Hi shoulder wasn't part of his fat ass that couldn't move his legs to even get in part of the way of dozens of speeding DE's on their way to sacking Maye.

I think its pretty funny that NFL Mystique said, "Tom Brady was a huge factor too. He got rid of it so fast. Maye needs to learn how to consistently get rid of the ball quickly. Doing so helps the OL." I am blocked and not supposed to see this, but will reply anyway.

Drake's average release time to throw is 2.70 seconds for the 2025 season, and 2.56 seconds for 2024. Brady's average was 2.48 second, but he sped it up towards the end of his career. 2022 was 2.28 and 2021 was 2.29. But here is a stat that makes all the difference. Brady's average completion in 2022 was 6.4 yards and Drake this year is 12.4 yards.

This tells me some important things. Brady and Maye are radically different QBs and we should not compare them. Its not fair to compare Drake, a second year QB, to the GOAT, but its not fair to compare Brady's arm to Drake's either. They are just different. Drake's average completion yardage is TWICE that of Brady and only .42 seconds slower than Brady. Let that sink in for a moment. I think that is an incredible stat. What would Drake's be if he were only throwing 6.4 yards? I suggest it would be close to Brady. Finally, while year 2 Drake has plenty of room for growth, the dude leads the league in passing yards. None of us saw that coming. His problem is not his release time.

Lowe is a below average OT IMHO who can only handle LT so far as I e seen. With that said I don’t think there is any option at this point and at least the Pats are not also saddled with the steaming garbage they had last year with Scott Peters and his gofer “coaching” OL, In the words of a certain poster here with a nautical name, regarding Peters I say **** that ****ing ****wad to ****ing he’ll.

so... is this the "supposed to make me feel better" story?

Ah well... it is what it is... Suppose i gotta/gonna catch the VD fever and cheer him on for the next 4-6 weeks...
Explains why he was on PUP for camp and most of the off season.. well.. he's healthy now so let's see if he actually be a bare minimum NFL OT..

Its not your opinion. Its just a fact based on the evidence. Most players on this team have been much better under the new coaching staff and the hope is that Lowe is as well. He has been given every opportunity.

Let's hope that with better coaching his play will improve. Its not 100% impossible

This is the sort of ridiculousness you foist on the board regularly. Lowe has improved each year he's been here. Now we find out that he played with a torn Labrum last year when was "as good" as guys like Dan Moore of the Steelers.

I'm not saying that Lowe is anything but a JAG, but he's a JAG who has shown improvement and toughness..
Contrary to certain GDT Nancies, he played decently enough against the Bengals. I think it was the 3rd play he was walked back almost into Maye, but after that, he settled in decently enough.

Hopefully he will play better this time around.

Hard to believe it could be worse than 2024.

A quality backup LT would be a godsend. Want to give injured players the benefit of the doubt, but I'll believe it when I see it. Still dealing with PTSD from last year's OL.

2024 was played with a torn labrum and no O-line coaching and he IMPROVED over his 2023 playing.

2023: 290 pass blocking snaps - 6 sacks, 3 hits, 29 hurries = 1 pressure allowed every 7.6 snaps
2024: 501 pass blocking snaps - 5 sacks, 5 hits, 23 hurries = 1 pressure every allowed 15.1 snaps

The 15.1 still is BAD, but a huge improvement over 2023.

It's interesting that all the sacks that Lowe allowed in 2024 came AFTER he suffered the Labrum tear against the Jets.

I'm not even expecting Lowe to be Tom Ashworth level, but if he can come close to that, then I think he'll be adequate until Campbell gets back.

Sure, but here is Hoyer saying how McDaniels will minimized the loss of Campbell and hide any deficiencies of Lowe.

Just coming in here to wish all my fellow Patriot fans a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Im confident Veridian Lowe will absolutely crush it.

It's our year and you can't talk me out of it.

LFG PATS!!!!!

Are you saying that for the first half of 2024, Lowe had ZERO sacks and that ALL his sacks came after he was seriously injured?

Lowe played in 4 games prior to the game against the Jets where he got injured. In those 4 games, he did not give up a sack. He gave up 2 QB Hits and 6 Hurries on 104 Pass blocking snaps. I'm excluding the Jets game because I don't know how many Pass blocking snaps he took before being injured.

NOTE: I do not go by PFFs blocking grades. I'm using their info to show when Lowe was given responsibility for Sacks, Hits, Hurries and the number of pass blocking snaps.

Lowe, Jordan/Robinson, Brown, Onwenu, Jacobs was the final line combo last year... funny, he gives up two sacks in the w12 miami game, we have a measley 269 yards of offense, but it is his 4th highest rated game... sometimes i don't understand the pff rating algorithm

with more game experience this year, combined with better coaching, think the line will be adequate... hopefully *knocks wood x3*
