I still miss Ashley and her enthusiasm a lot. Wish she didn't do whatever it was that got her banned.

I even miss her accusing me of being a Bucs fan because I was cheering Brady there lol. She DM'ed me and said she was just busting my chops so all good. She was very team Bill. Would be fun to get her take on what's happening at UNC. I think I'd be kicked out of a lot of threads these days lol
I thought Ashley was cool and I didn't have a problem with her. In fact, I thought her overreacting and banning people in the game day threads were funny. Who else remembers her signature "goodbye"? However, it did start to get out of hand as it continued within the main threads. I do remember posters were warning her months prior to the incident to stop abusing her power and kicking people out of threads.
I still wonder what it was that Ashley did to force Ian to give her the boot. Must have been really ****ty. She seemed like a great girl but I don't think she should have been a mod. Didn't have the temperament. It's not for everyone. I was a mod once and learned it wasn't for me either.
From what I saw in real time, I knew her getting banned was inevitable. It was pretty rough seeing the onslaught of posters ganging up on her which came out of nowhere to me as I was under the impression she had a following. I don't think she would've reacted the way she did had other posters not kicked her when she was down. She had no choice but to go off on the original poster that attacked her. From what I understand, there were conversations afterward with Ian which led to the ban.
Were they banned too? I remember getting into quite a few back-and-forths with Deus in the past. Kontra I seemed to notice got more irritable in recent years but I didn’t realize they were both gone. In fairness I haven’t been too active this year since after the NFL Draft so I may have missed a lot.
Kontra was banned, but Deus wasn't.

Funny I was thinking about that last night. Think we have her replacement on the board.

I would simply love Ashley return
She was very good imho

Kontra made a really ****ty ass post directed at someone's wife who passed away. I'm guessing that's why he's gone. Wish he didn't do that. Think it was @Pape ?

I butted heads with Deus a few times but he was cool. I'm sure he wasn't banned he just hasn't posted.
It was a really ****ty post and I wish he hadn’t posted it either, especially because of my circumstances, but it’s too bad he had to be banned. Not that I question Ian’s decision. Maybe deus, who butted heads with literally everyone, is a self-ban?

Really, she banned someone for 3 or 5 days because he posted that she couldn't tell him who he could root for which was (brady with TB) I never had a problem with her but she seemed quick to pull the trigger on booting a poster for just disagreeing with her

Now he needs to say "Are you ready???????????????? Lets go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
That was another good one from her.

I know very well "her way" but i enjoyed it
Of course it is only my opinion
I hope she is fine and... perhaps she is reading us

I would say we were friends...we saw things similarly...except when we didn't. She hated the complaining..as do I but that's what we do here. We talk and debate. What she saw as excessive...I didn't. I was sad to se her go. We spoke a few times after she was booted.

For years post Deflategate, Deus kept saying that he was no longer an NFL fan but a Brady fan, and would quit the game when Brady retired. Looks like he followed through on that.
The game has gone downhill since a lot of players left. I can guarantee you fans of other teams are feeling the same way and actually think Brady gone is bad for the game.

Same with the Head Coaches. The game was better with BB patrolling the sidelines. Too many guys are being hired if they have are young and have a pulse.

The 2000's was the last great era of football. The early 2010's were still good, but things started getting stale around 2015, but fell off a cliff in 2020.

There is a continuity in the people who clamour loudly in situations like that: they conflate people getting tired of your **** and telling you to knock it off with censorship, all the whole becoming increasingly more and more hostile, so they can clamour louder when you take action.

Not meaning to blow your notifications up, but just chiming in on this to say: it has gotten pretty bad. Same with basketball. There was a change in those two sports from the early 2000s era to now. From scheme and gameplan grit to hybridized, streamlined, and higher-scoring products. It sucks.

I don’t know about anybody else, but that high scoring Rams Chiefs game from a few years ago that it felt like everyone loved? I didn’t.

That to me isn’t football.

I was too young to remember the Bird/Magic rivalry. Brady/Peyton was the closest thing to it for me and it was special. Messi/Ronaldo I’d also put in that class, from the time I followed soccer.

Brady vs Peyton was a freaking event and almost always lived up to the hype.

Mahomes vs Allen? Nice but it isn’t the same. Not even close.

I'm not going to get into it, other than to say the ban had nothing to do with that. Her removal came after I learned of something that left me without a choice but to remove her. Which again, sucked, because I was protective of her and obviously really liked her. Needless to say, I was super disappointed, and knowing what you know about me when it comes to removing someone, it takes something significant for me to do that - especially with someone who was also a moderator on here with me.

That was a bigger problem than I was aware of, unfortunately. Again, my fault for not paying better attention, but she did go overboard from that standpoint.
