Pats' scouting director Dimitroff a GM candidate in Atlanta?

The Atlanta Falcons are seeking a general manager and a fresh outlook, and the name of New England Patriots director of college scouting Thomas Dimitroff has surfaced in league circles as a possibility according to a report in the Boston Globe.

Now in his 18th season in player personnel and sixth with the Patriots, Dimitroff is considered a solid personnel evaluator, and his experience in New England should boost his candidacy.

This is interesting. I wonder if the Pats can limit when Dimitroff would take over if hired because the vast knowledge he has about their inner workings and the draft information collected.

Thanks for re-posting that Pats1. I'd missed it the first time. Pretty amazing that they said that Mankins would come in and start from day one.

I'd love to see the books on Meriweather and Maroney.
