At this point I’m not sure I agree. Colts need to be taken down a couple of notches. In a perfect world it might not be the Chiefs that do it, but it needs to be done and I’ve not looked to see who better than the Chiefs.

i'd rather see daniel jones in the playoffs than patrick mahomes, though.....

McDermott had nothing to play for and we'd all want BB to pull players as he's done in the past when the Pats were looking towards the playoffs. The person you should be really mad at is Mayo for not countering what McDermott was doing. The Pats were playing way too aggressive on defense blitzing and allowing Milton to run around, throwing bombs and playing hero ball on offense. If I were one of the Kraft's, I would've told Mayo to cut that **** out after halftime. Or better yet, I would've humiliated him and fired him at halftime because I'm pretty sure Mayo was already told this was his last game anyways. Mayo knew very well what was on the line.

It worked out in the end because having Hunter and Carter also available with the #1 pick could've made Vrabel fall into the trap second guessing himself. Those guys off the board made picking Campbell very easy.

Prime Bill would have played to win if he coached last year's Patriots. He never would have intentionally tanked a game. Kraft would have left himself open to suspension in your scenario.

Bill would have played scrubs if he coached the Bills, but he wouldn't have intentionally allowed players to get open.

Whomever played would have been expected to compete.

The Colts still have to play Houston twice this season. I think they may be be lucky to get out with a win.

They routinely call QB powers for him.
Most of his passing comes when he breaks the pocket.
Yes, he's a running QB. He is the MOST running QB of the 'Big 3'.
I disagree, but we can’t always agree

Is that really your takeaway from that stat?
He couldn’t even get to the top of his drop last night without guys being in his face.
He leads the league in total TDs.
Now all of sudden he’s playing worse than his rookie season?
Come on now.
I was just joshing around

IDK, I think people are more afraid of the reputation of Mahomes and the Chiefs than what they are seeing them this year. I heard some one say that last year's Chiefs were the 2018 Patriots and this year's Chiefs are the 2019 Patriots.

They may be kinda right except that the 2019 Pats looked to be a force the first half of the season and trailed off. But they were a paper tiger around the time they hit the playoffs. That could be this year's Chiefs.

no i hear you.....chiefs are deeply flawed

but even when the patriots had flaws, did you ever want to face tom brady in the playoffs? he had the ability to carry a team on his back.......i think mahomes to a slightly lesser extent has that ability

the chiefs can be beaten, but can you break mahomes? daniel jones looks breakable.....

Yeah, I think Houston and Denver are our biggest threats defensively. But if we host either of them I feel MUCH better about our chances. Get homefield advantage and don't settle for just the division
Denver is I think our most serious competitor for the #1 seed. I haven’t looked to see how it would stack up if we both win out but my intuition is they win the tiebreaker, probably conference record. Colts schedule is brutal. I don’t see them winning out.

Mahomes looks pretty broken to me. Check out his numbers from the last couple of games.

I’m afraid of the league’s/refs’ favoritism towards Mahomes.

What a ferocious front Houston has.. what was it 7,8 sacks i lost count.. Dawkins is supposed to be an all pro.. he looked like he quit multiple times last night... Matt millano at LB while still good the injuries have impacted his effectiveness... I'm utterly convinced that we need to heavily invest at edge in FA/Draft.. that's what is the primary need.. IMO... Davis mills is Daniel Jones in IMO.. they both look like identical players...
that houston front is tough... while i am not gainsaying that we need an edge, their play made me think that RT is a big need in the 2026 draft

I was in South Jersey, inland from OC and Wilwood. If you were going from Chester to the shore you were north of where I grew up. I’ve confused folks when I say I grew up south of the Mason Dixon Line, in New Jersey. Pretty much straight east of Baltimore.

I was just about to enter junior high school. I remember listening to the game that clinched their failure after playing pick up baseball with friends in a neighbor’s backyard. Don’t remember much about the game just that all of Mauch’s managerial moves failed miserably, and how dumbfounded the announcers were at the total collapse. It was epic.
I remember my uncle cursing out Mauch through the end of that season. I just feel it was a lot of bad luck his pitching failed and they didn't have enough big guns to overcome that. Yes Richie Allen and Johnny Callison were a great 3 - 4 combo, but the rest of the lineup left something to be desired.

I can't remeber what year it was it might have been this one my uncle took me to a Phillies game and Bunning pitched a perfect game being young at the time I was so bored. I kept wondering when someone would hit the ball and score so we could go home. One of the things that came out of that game was I ate so many hot dogs and fries that when we got home that night and went to bed, I woke up late and threw up all over my cousin's Negamco Baseball game.

He was ready to hang me the next day. Oh the good times.

Where you grew up is that near Cape May we went down there a lot as well just wondering if that cement Liberty Boat is still off shore there or has it finally worn away.

I looked at the schedules and I think the tiebreaker between Denver and New England would be the second tiebreaker, conference record, and if we both win out the Patriots would prevail because of a scheduling quirk.

Broncos rotating divisional opponents this year come from the NFC East while ours are from the AFC South. So we play more games in conference then they do, and since both of us have all our losses in conference we would have a better percentage against conference opponents.

Things get more complicated if we both lose one more game but they lose to an NFC team, because our percentage against conference opponents would go down and theirs wouldn’t. That gives them the tiebreaker.

So we either need to win out, or lose one less game over the remainder of the season than the Broncos do.

Broncos Offense too meh to win out: wouldn't surprise me if they lose to the Commanders without Daniels.

Rather face Mahomes in Foxboro than Denvers D here at Milehigh. Bo Nix check downs be dammed.

So hard to win a game here.

Lesser of 2 evils

You will be.

RT is definitely a need however we are marvels better than last season with the the likes of Demontrey Jacobs.. I'm leaning towards edge though Pape.. the edge pressure is the only thing realistically holding our defense back in pressure rate..
