I don't know about running him out of town, but their relationship took a turn in 2012 when Gronk was unnecessarily put on the field goal team against the Colts in a blowout victory late in the 4th where he ended up breaking his forearm. His Dad didn't seem to like BB after that.

We were extremely lucky to watch him dominate for so many years. Best TE to ever play the game. When healthy, he was unstoppable offensively, and one of the greatest blocking TE’s as well. Like having another OT out there. Just the prototypical TE.

No. He RETIRED so he didn't have to go to Detroit. He was TRADED for a first round pick, and instead, he retired because he didn't have his ****ing binky.

THAT is why he sat out a year. Not only cost us a first round pick, but also dead cap.

Yes he was childish into his 30s but he did agree finally what he did at the time should have been handled better. Some people never grow up or grow a pair. I'm letting it go myself.
