I don't think that second matchup is going to matter much for us much if we keep winning. The Bills are playing a First place schedule. They have some Tough ones on the road remaining: didn't think they would lose to Miami. Sucks being them also Dalton Kincaid is injured again Allen's favorite Target.
I definitely see your point.. but the injury factor is a real things.. I'm sure guys are playing through different ailments. Kincaid got injured? Didn't know that.. you still want to root again division opponents.. no matter what the records are division opponents are always tough games.. this Thursday night game isn't going to be a cake walk for us.. we still need to bring it..

Yeah Kinkaid had a bad hammy injury, could miss multiple weeks.

It's either that, or Spillane or Tavai or Gibbens in man coverage.

Yeah, I hate it too, but in terms of managing the entire game - it has worked.

They're not getting better linebackers this year. They're probably not going to get much better in zone coverage. We're going to have to live with it - and the fact they're winning doing it means it's working.

Playing zone helps with defending the run that's why the Pats do it so much in the early downs. It is frustrating to watch when they're getting picked apart. They need to find a better balance imo or disguise it better.

I didnt watch the game but I see Allen threw the ball 40 times but Cook only 13 carries 53 yards. That's rough on a team who has had to depend on the run game to win.

Maybe they figure it out. I'm not super-hopeful on that point. It just kind of is what it is.

People need to chill on the MVP for Maye. He's doing well (mostly in context of being a 2nd year QB). It's great, but...

Stafford is probably going to win it (with Taylor the non-QB who should win it).
Stafford is playing incredibly well, and his stats and wins support a MVP-worthy season.
Also - I think Rams are a very complete team, and are my current pick to be in the NFCCG - with the Lions.

We should know.. gonzo was out what 7 weeks? Boutte will likely miss another game or 2?..
His was pretty bad (Kincaid) or so it looked.

I think Boutte could play Thursday if they really needed him. I don't think they do. I think they baby him a bit like they did with Gonzalez. He'll be good to go for Cincinnati though.

TommyD4207 has brought up this point.. we play zone due to the LBs. Vrabel knows full well what his CBs on the outside can do.. .. as nerve racking as it's been watching middling QBs move the ball on us.. it's probably the safest way to protect the weaknesses..

We stop the run with our defensive line.. no one runs on Barmore, milt, and Tonga..

Where the zone hurts us is the red area.. when teams move the ball on you between the 20s the probability of scoring in the red zone is higher.

I can see that as well.. allowing him some rest especially with this little mini bye coming up. So that's excellent for us if we can avoid Kincaid.. TEs for our LBs..

I don’t think they need Boutte on Thursday night. Let that hammy recover a bit more, bring him back the following week.

Taylor's getting it IMO.. Barkley got snubbed.. last season..so the NFL will do a make up call and give it to him at RB..

Moses pulled and blasted a hole on the 1st Hendo TD run and then sealed off 3 Bucs from getting to Hendo.

I suppose he parted the Tampa red sea.

The Bucs defensive formation was heavy on the left side. I wonder if Maye saw it and dialed up the call? After Hendo made it past the LOS there were about 3 guys to beat, but they were all spread out. Hendo burned past 2 Bucs like they were standing still with 1 Buc remaining who tripped Hendo up in the EZ.
That one Buc remaining that tripped up Hendo was beat and made a last gasp desperate dive to catch his foot and trip him. Impressive!

You say this, and I get it's frustrating, but Otten had a career game yesterday, and they still lost.

If leaving TEs open is your biggest weakness...maybe it's not the worst thing in the world.

Agree - but if so, I think we should go easy on Diggs too - let Chism get some live work.
Even if that's in the 2nd half when Dobbs is in at QB with a lot of backups.

Check down passes to Henderson could be a lethal weapon when you get him in the open field with the ball.
If only Checkdown Charlie was on this team to throw those passes
