2026 Mock Draft Thread

Would be equally thrilled with either. Would go with whichever I thought had a better chance of happening, along with adding a S day 2.

If push came to shove, would probably take Hill just because OL is so deep.
My worry would be Wheatley not making it to the end of the 3rd.

Maybe Hill - Wheatley - best of Green/Carter Smith/Pregnon

I'd then go Mesidor and Logan Jones/Jaeden Roberts in the 4th or Freeling/PJ Williams depending on where you want Jared Wilson to start next year.

My only issue with this is that I don't think we're getting an exciting draft. Very pragmatic, but there's no real star.

That's fine at 30. If we're honest, in reality we'll be picking around 20 +/-.
I can see us getting to the AFC Championship game (pick 29 or 30), particularly if our easier schedule gets us home field advantage until then.

Sure, anything is possible. I prefer to go forward as an underdog.

Welp, I like good to v good players that become playoff stars.

B/R had Wheatley going 25th in their latest mock.

In that scenario i'd go with Hill as well. Not that i mind Siereveld one bit tho.
Hill then Pregnon and i'll be a happy man.

I dont mind pragmatic, I think we would be getting starters. But this draft is just like that, there isnt really a true star, just a lot of depth to choose from. Gotta make sure you choose well.

Wheatley 25, David Bailey 26.

There is a comment in fine print: "Take that, Manxman2601!"

Surprised they didn't twist the knife by mocking Akheem Mesidor at 27.
I've never liked them.

I gave Pro Football Network's simulator a go. I like them Particularly for allowing to mke the picks at 199 and 206 lol.

1st round mock from Nick Baimgartner at The Athletic:

I wouldn't be upset if Boston is the pick. Also, Zion Young's stock is all over the place.

Boston is a solid X receiver. I probably like KC Concepcion more, TBH. And there are a number of other players I would take ahead of a WR.

In that mock Sonny Styles and Vega Ioane are both no-brainers for me ahead of Boston. Bunch of other guys as well.

I like Concepcion but I'd take Boston ahead of him. He could be Boutte on steroids. He also offers what Hollins offers too.

From Ryan Wilson at CBS Sports:

I could probably get on board with Caleb Lomu at 30 if the Pats felt ge could move to OT, though Sonny Styles is still on the board.
I'm not all that keen. Not only the problem of switching sides, but he's not the biggest either for a tackle. I'd rather have someone in the 315-325 range. Lomu might not even make it to 300lbs.

2 round mock from Luke Easterling:

He has the Pats taking CJ Allen and Joshua Joseph. Good players, but in that mock I would do:

1. Vega Ioane, OG, Penn St. Ioane goes #37 in that mock, which I can't see happening. Campbell - Ioane - Wilson would be beastly.

2. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati. I think Golday is as good as Allen, and a better fit for complementing Robert Spillane.

That would be a home run, IMO. Add a S, RT, and EDGE and the team would be in good shape.

DBs Jelani McDonald, Zakee Wheatley, Keiontre Scott and OLs Austin Siereveld, Monroe Freeling, Blake Miller, Cayden Green, Carter Smith and Max Iheanachor or not in this mock.

I've just seen my first mock of the year with the Patriots picking at 32. We've come quite a way from discussing Faulk, Woods, Downs, Bain et al at the start of the season. Long may it continue.

The pick was R Mason Thomas by the way.
