It's malpractice to not take the best offer. I don't believe for a second the Patriots had better offers but we're rejected or held hostage by their division status.
Q: who sets and enforces any standards of practice?

A: nobody other than whoever signs the GM’s paychecks.

The concept of “malpractice” does not apply in this domain.

lol.

So where does our improved Pass Rush come from our Taxi squad?? That would be a first.
You get it in the off season/draft. If there is a quality player (that fits our needs) out there that could be had for now and the future I'm good with that. But that player simply may not be available today. I am sure that Vrabels staff is not simply sleeping at the wheel.

Could have fooled me.

Draft is supposed to be great on EDGE rushers. That's where we're going to get one.

I think it's self explanatory. If you're not taking your best offer, you're a dumbass and you've committed malpractice.

You gave me the ugh emoji but my point remains. The Patriots didn't have the best offer and lost out on any of those players.

The bills are already over next year’s cap. I hope this rumor is true.

Von Miller...36 years old with 1.5 sacks this year. I dont think he moves the needle.

Patriots success may be working against them too. What GM is going to want to help make them better?

I imagine conversations going like this:

Pat’s GM: is <insert player name> available?
Other GM: let me check. I’ll get back to you.
[permanent radio silence ensues]

With a record of 3-5-1 and still having to play the chiefs, eagles, vikings, lions and chargers and about zero chance to make the playoffs. Trading away the future for over priced players now on a team thats going nowhere.

I never said I thought the trades were good or bad.

That said, Q Williams is 27 years old, he will help them beyond this year.

Im smacking my head because you really don’t get it. There is no such thing as malpractice. You serve your master and do as he wills. There is no external objective standard of practice.
