Jayden and the commanders will have the injury excuse now but make no mistake even when Jayden has been in there they are a losing team (2-4 with him).

They were a one year wonder and now are back in the lower half with one of the oldest rosters in the league . This is why I wasn’t aiming to be the commanders this year. If we are buyers before tomorrow they better be <30 yo, other than cheap depth.

If I am the Commanders, I consider shutting down Daniels this year even if he can return. Their season is pretty much over already and Daniels has been getting beaten up this year. Don't want another RGIII situation where he is done due to injuries in a few years.

Ugly video.

Paratroopers learn to tuck arms into chest when they land/fall. Has to be practiced repetitively, as the natural instinct is to stick a hand/arm out to break the fall. Unfortunately the arm is the brittlest appendage to do that with.

Every QB in the league should be put thru parachute landing fall (PLF) training.

That was the big risk with him: can his body type take NFL pounding??

Indeed there was talk about his slight frame but I think this injury has less to do with body type and more about learning to fall as @Gumby explains above.
He was being thrown like a rag doll. Some of that is due to his body type.

Jayden Griffin III just needs moar time.
You're being awfully hard on the kid.
Needs more muscle mass.
Defenders are being awfully hard on him.
This is his third injury of the season: knee, hammy, elbow.
He’s going to run out of body parts soon.

No one / no arm withstands that fall if you stick your arm out. Has LITTLE* to do with his body type.

*other than that if he had 20 lbs more, the DT MAYBE couldn't have tossed him so hard.

Is safe falling not standard training for football players? Even in my daughter's childhood karate lessons they did falling drills every single class to develop the instincts.

I know it's a tough habit to break because it's really just a quick reaction and almost instinctual, but if your QB does this, you should really consider stopping most coaching points only focus on this until it is embedded into their brain: Never, ever, ever, stick your arm out to brace your fall.

It will never do anything for you. Even if you walk away without damage, it did nothing to make the hit easier to absorb.

Dunno but I know the NBA teaches it. Notice how they all elect to fall into the momentum and onto their ass.

I will say, I've seen quite a few QB's fall that way before, so it certainly doesn't seem to be a league-wide focus.

He was. Its truth
I still say Simmons was a steal at 32 if he can get his head back on

Weird he would he say that in public tipping off the team he’s talking about…

When you have zero control of your team, and players can say whatever they want, this is what happens.

cowboys again?

We had a rough weekend. That loss was gut wrenching to a team you beat up on 42-13.
Blame it on the fake leather helmets, I guess.

Defense played well, again, at least. Sort of a weird playcalling job in that one.
