In 2 years from now Diggs probably won't be here.
Moses won't be here.
Hollins won't be here
Owenu won't be here
Bradbury won't be here
Chaison might not be here
Henry might not be here
Hooper won't be here
Pop might not be here
....etc
So we need to replace all those guys and more in FA and through the draft.
With our schedule, this might be our best chance in the next few seasons.
I'm not suggesting we sell our souls down at the crossroads, but I don't think we should be wasting this opportunity.

When put like that it may look kind of bad. But it is important to keep in mind... All of those guys more or less could be had at will this year. It isn't like a guy just like Hollins or Bradbury or Hooper or Chaisson won't be available next year. It be nice to have a long term solution at every spot, but typically that doesn't happen.

My main concern is replacing Diggs and Henry... Teams simply are not letting many offensive players skill players walk much... even guys who are more mid range starter level are getting harder to come by. Mid ranger starters for D are actually much easier to get.

Your opinion.

But the team is not SB ready yet.

Maye still has alot to improve upon. Defense isn't quite there.
Maye needs to learn to throw the ball away. Too many sacks
Defense needs to tighten up in the red zone i believe we are 31st in red zone Defense

Not a sign of a SB team but we are definitely ahead of schedule and wouldnt be shocked if we make noise in the playoffs

just watched the game replay aftervwork. what the hell? the maye int in thrid quarter was a trapped ball! they only showed one replay before the commercial. game was not that close. am i wrong. i watched replay.

Big win. Had to play till then end. Hope that Gonzo is back next week.
Pats need a game changing player like London to help Drake next season.
i would scout the nba for a tall receiver like moss.

the maye int in third quarter was a trapped ball! did you guys see the one replay before the break!? no challenge or review?

I still maintain that when the ball was bouncing around in his arms that the nose of the ball touched the ground before control.

But all turnovers are reviewed so I assume I was wrong. Wouldnt know because they only showed one review as they went to timeout.

I've got nfl + i watched it over and over, it was clearly a bounce off the ground into his grasp.it was suspicious they didn't go back to it as they usually do. NBA is rigged, NFL is no less under suspicion.

They definitely looked at it wether they showed on tv they did it not.

All turnovers are reviewed.

Just glad it didn't come back to haunt us.

I agree, SB is out of the question first rebuild year. But we are making progress and that has got to be a good thing.

If they go in and beat Tampa Sunday, does that change your mind?

Correct. Maye has strapped this team to his back and led them to 7-2 with his excellent play.

Losing Boutte is a big blow. We need to replace him on the trade market. Maye needs weapons.

We saw how impactful the WR position is the way London almost stole that game single handedly.

London didn't steal the game single-handedly. It was a clever tweak by Atlanta to counter our man nickel by motioning or putting London into slot, forcing Jones (as the slot man) to track him, and thereby forcing the bad matchup between London/Jones (Jones gives up almost a foot in height). Atlanta also deliberately put London into point on bunches which ensured that Jones would end up taking on London (per our dumb rule on bunches which dictates that the slot CB takes the point leaving Gonzo and Hawkins to defend the inside out). This happened not once, but TWICE, as we all saw. London's vertical release pulled Jones deep and without help. The failure to immediately fix this bad matchup is what nearly gave the game away.

It got fixed on that critical 3rd stop when we changed to locked man and Gonzo got put on London in the slot but Kuhr has got to start making adjustments faster. We got away this time, but we won't get away with it against a better team.

We just passed for 259 yds on the #1 pass D in the league, 110 more yds than the avg 149 per game they give up.
What did Drake have, 175 in the first half?
We don't need another WR, we need Boutte to be healthy.
Agreed with everything you said. Here's what I'll add. Vrabel has constantly said anytime he's been asked in his pressers " I'm always looking for ways to add and improve the team. " if a guy became available and it made sense to the coaching staff to add them I'd think along with the group of WRs we have already it only makes us better.

I agree that both can work.
I just don't agree that we are a "few years" away.
Multiple year rebuilds only exist if you miss on a QB.
Once you find a guy, it's game on.
I'm going to say that we can call ourselves contenders. Games like yesterday's game. The past few seasons were sure fire losses. As Vrabel said learning from winning instead of learning from losses isn't an overstated thing.

We absolutely should be while we have this window were Drake is on his rookie deal to try and add. Just as an observer we need to beef up our pass rush. Williams and Barmore have been beast but they can't do it all alone. We need an edge rusher that can get in the rotation with Chaisson and Landry.
