It's tough for me to imagine someone paying ME $250 a game to watch the Jets

As I noted in the trade thread the Jete need a quarterback and this is a step toward that, albeit at the expense of losing their best defender.

Jete fans are pretty split on if it was a good move or not.

Some feel Gardner was an elite or near-elite CB on a reasonable contract for the next five years, don't like getting rid of their best player on defense and one of their few stars, don't want to admit this indicates they're still deep in rebuild land instead of being a player or two away from being good.

Others feel they need the draft capital more than a good CB, and he had some signs of falling off, never was a good tackler, didn't play the run well, etc.

Me, I think he was more name than game and still wonder if they shouldn't have traded him in the off-season before they extended him so they didn't have to pay him a big signing bonus and now take the cap hit of moving him.
