Vrabel. Without him and his staff, I don’t think they’re in as many of these games. Adjustments have been significantly better than a year ago as they were out coached badly in the second half of a lot of games last season. Granted, without Drake they’re not putting up as many points, but I’d be willing to bet Vrabel would have fared better even with Brissett if we’re really having this discussion. Albeit they’re probably closer to .500 and they probably don’t beat the Bills.

Agreed. To me it's Vrabel. Although Ian Vrabel’s biggest incentive outside of $$ and having final say of everything was Drake. He knows football and knew Drake was the talented QB that lacked the coaching. To have a guy like Vrabel who's been at other places and brought in some high level coaches to his staff made all the difference. The throws that Drake is able to make are indefensible. There's not a defense in the league that can really stop Drake. I say this because even though Garrett got busy with 5 sacks Drake still carved them up. We can name any defense we believe to be a top unit and I'm still taking Drake. Vrabel has coached him into a top 5 QB.

The topic was the turnaround, so in that regard it’s Vrabel. But I’ll make the same point I made in the Belichick/Brady thing. Vrabel makes them good again. But Maye will be the reason if they ultimately become great.

The whole, “players win games, coaches lose them,” is absolutely a real thing and the coaching lost a bunch of games last year when you look at how this defense was out of position and chasing guys around in the second half as much as they were in 2024. It’s been night/day so far this season.

Agreed here. I believe we are both in alignment here. The structure and direction of the team absolutely Vrabel. But as you perfectly stated Drake will be the reason we become great. We are witnessing a turnaround that is absolutely night and day from what we all witnessed past few seasons.

I think seeing him with Tannehill is the key, albeit he also had Henry. But how far they go will be thanks to Maye, especially if he can make plays and not turn it over, which was Tanehill’s issue.

Obviously, Josh is a big part of this and he deserves a lot of the credit for where Maye is. I’d take him all day in the postseason and having him might allow them to surprise people. He’ll likely be the reason Maye keeps his cool in big moments, and it’s great to have him back.

Brought to you by the same geniuses who brought you Brady vs Belichick.

You people realize they’re on the same team right?

Drake Maye was here last year by himself… how’d that go?

Nobody does it alone in a sport with 53 man rosters and an army of coaches and personnel.

Learn the game…

Good points. Henry mentioned himself that he credits Vrabel for his ascension in the NFL. Prior to Vrabel Henry was a 5, 600 yard back. It was utterly remarkable what he was able to do with Tannenhill. Going to the AFCCG and having KC on the ropes. Josh absolutely!! how can we forget about him. He seems content back here. He stated he and his family are comfortable in Westwood. So hope Josh stays he's an integral part here.

Drake to me just is such a complete QB. There's not a throw he can't make. Seeing him face adversity in the first half against Cleveland and then coming out and scorching them.. that right there is what elite QBs do.

The question is a good sign, in the same way that a foul odor means a paper mill is in business. People asking who gets the credit means there's credit to be had. Beats the hell out of the blame-game flip side (which, by the way, we do around here when a team goes all the way to the super bowl then loses by a small margin.)

Maye is probably the best QB Vrabel has ever had. Vrabel is the best HC Maye has had. So...both.

Vrabel is a better HC than McDermott imo. Change coaches and the Patriots are still a dumpster fire. While Buffalo probably wins a SB. Vrabel has done more with less (Tannehill vs Allen)

Totally not true ... I have not washed my Patriots coffee cup since the win streak started... so, connect the dots
Thank you for your sacrifice.

The real killer:

I refuse to take part part because the OP is a vet here and knows the rules.

Once and for all, stop this nonsense please. I would have expected better of you OP at this juncture. It is about the overall team, not individual parts of it. I think it was Boston media and media at large that started this BB v TB rubbish and this fan forum has had quite enough of all that crap imho. We have had enough Division on this board.
Remember the old adage "Divide and Conquer".
Can't we ALL just enjoy the PATRIOTS TEAM and Organisation as a whole and just be fans of that and cease dissecting.
My view from afar.
The Bill vs Brady debate is something I really don’t get. We definitely don’t need Vrabel vs Maye
