LMAO! Here's Indy's 08 Schedule

Re: LMAO! Heres Indys 08 Schedule

Tough schedule? You bet. "10-6 at best"? No way. I'll put my money on the Colts and Patriots to keep delivering dominant seasons.

Besides, it's awfully tough in this league to predict next year's strength of schedule. At this time last year we were looking at the likes of the Jets, Ravens and Bengals as the "quality" opponents on the Patriot schedule, while the Browns were obvious pushovers.

Re: LMAO! Heres Indys 08 Schedule

Seriously...that's the best you got?

Thanks. I'm trying not to be too chippy.

Oh come on, lighten up. Smack yakkin part of the fun. I know you guys have a great team. it's just that were better is all. :rocker:

Re: LMAO! Heres Indys 08 Schedule

The Colts will be good as long as they have Manning and those other offensive guys just like we will with Brady, et al. We're more on the upswing, however, IMO, with Harrison hurt and old and with the Patriots having a much stronger draft position than the Colts who have no #1 this year. If only we weren't going to lose Samuel, I'd feel great

Re: LMAO! Heres Indy's 08 Schedule

if u looked @ our schedule last year..we had a very tough 1. didnt end up like that

Eagles/Ravens/Jets were all playoff teams that should've been better. Bengals were borderline playoffs

things change so i've learned.

I've come to expect more.

Re: LMAO! Heres Indy's 08 Schedule

I think you're not giving that organization enough credit... remember, they'll be in a new stadium with a new state of the art sound system.

Re: LMAO! Heres Indy's 08 Schedule

If you're laughing at Indy's schedule, you'll be crying at ours. 4 west coast trips. Ughh.

I think they have the tougher schedule though.

Re: LMAO! Heres Indy's 08 Schedule

Why does this constantly get said around here; the Colts will go 10-6, they are on the downside, they lost too many key guys to free agency, etc, etc.

You'd be better off dealing with the fact that they are a very, very good team, as long as Manning is around, they will continue to be so. Polian is a total assclown, but the man knows talent and how to go out and get it.

That is a marshmellow schedule, 7-1 at home at worst and maybe one or two losses on the road, 14-2, 13-3 is more like it.

Get real, we're stuck dealing with them like it or not.

Re: LMAO! Heres Indys 08 Schedule

That schedule doesn't really look that hard to me. Why do we have to go there to play? Why don't they come up to us this year?

It's only fair since they will be playing at Gillette next January too.

Why in hell are the Pats playing them at HOME again? Hope the sound system is down.

They played at Gillette 2 seasons in a row as well. 2005 on Monday Night and then 2006 on Sunday Night.

Can someone tell me how this is a difficult schedule at all?

HOME

Jax - Indy's b1tches
Tenn - give me a break
Houston - see TN
New England - first tough matchup
Chicago - please
Detroit - see Chicago
Cincinnati - they haven't been good for three years now
Baltimore - one fluke year hides the fact that this team has been in decline for years now

AWAY

Jax - see before
Tenn- see before
Houston- see before
San Diego - second tough game
Pittsburgh - third tough game
Cleveland - will fall off next year
Green Bay - 4th tough game, maybe. This team is ripe for a dropoff
Minnesota - unless they get a QB they aren't anywhere near Indy's class.

Even if we assume Indy splits the tough games and loses 2 others, that still puts them at 12-4. This is a team that hasn't won less than 12 games since 2002. Is this schedule really gong to be a factor in stopping that?

Many here seem willing to concede the Colts a great record. I'm not. The Clots team is much weaker than it used to be. Marvin Harrison is done, Tarik Glenn is history, Dwight Freeney has been figured out in the past two seasons, and now injured; and 230# defensive lines, and 210 LBer crews, are still a J-O-K-E.

They only work when your Offense has produced a three TD lead, and the opponents have become a one-dimensional desperation passing Offense, abandoning the run. Then you can play ONLY pass rush, and pass defense and more pass defense. The days of the Almighty Clots O, are fading; the three TD leads are fewer and much more seldom.

The AFCS is not the pushover division that it used to be. Recall the years that Tennessee was a CAP wreck; Houston was an expansion club disaster; and the Jags were being torn down, and under re-construction while a new and raw QB was being sought to replace Mark Brunell.

Now the AFCS looks like the old AFCE used to be, tough games and no pushovers any where. (except the jolly Jesters). The days of the Clots having 6 victories in their division without raising a sweat, except to pad Manning's stats, are now gone.

No question about it. There division was easily the best in the AFC. Having a team with a .500 record finishing in last place is saying something. I hope to see one of those 3 teams give Indy a run for that divsion title next year.

Re: LMAO! Heres Indys 08 Schedule

That is what people were saying last year about our schedule this year. I don't see them losing 6.
<sigh>... we'll just have to go undefeated again, that's all.

I have a great deal of respect for the Colts, but it's thanks to stool samples like you that I wish they'd go 0-16 next year.

Explain to all of us, the football genius that you are, how the refs tucked it to the Giants in that game; was it the horsesh!t celebration penalty that led to a gift touchdown for the Giants? Let us know, we're on pins and needles waiting for your brilliant football mind to open up so your knowledge of the game can flow like a backed up toilet.............

I just read a few posts back where a fellow Colts fan was told to lighten up that the smack talk was just part of the fun? Or is it just the Pats fans that are allowed to talk smack? I don't take anything serious here, its all in good fun, I predict the Colts go 12-4 next year, roads games are going to be a ***** next year..
