Yes and no.

When the Revolutionary war began, there was no official uniform for the Continental army because there wasn't even an army since the British ruled the colonies. So, the Continental soldiers wore what they had including red coats as in this reenactment. There was no money for uniforms anyway. The red coat Continental soldiers fought on the front lines and the sharp shooters and snipers fought out in woods wearing drab everyday work clothes that blended in with the landscape.

Perhaps the person who made the Browns vs Pats pic was trying to mesh the Patriots old school red home jersey with the past. That's what I surmised.
I believe various colors were used when the revolution started…you Sir are correct.

Which doesn't excuse the crap redcoat Patriot AI pic but does indicate someone who can't just be an adult and take the 'L'

I don’t like seeing them but perhaps those redcoats worked well for spies. Would be good for an ambush. Maybe killing a redcoat and wearing the coat was a badge of honor. The red could be repurposed for Santa Clause outfits …IDK.

And while we’re at it…did Kris Kringle wear a red suite?

Well... big dude and all... but wearing a whole suite? A red tent maybe or maybe red bib overalls a la Big Vince at the smoker that I could envision...

...but a whole suite?

The Fever is back in Foxboro!

Intrigued to see how McDaniels plan to attack Cleveland tomorrow.

Speaking about colors; I never noticed before this week (and now it is annoying as heck to me ); but @sb1 avatar „S“ is a brownie **** stain kind of color. Is that system-generated & locked? Maybe you could ask @Ian to change it for this week to “Redcoat red“. LOL

Moving pocket.. on aggressive defense fronts you move the pocket wich is Drake superpower.. roll outs and throwing guys open.. that's how to you move the ball against a aggressive front 4..

You would fair better asking what outfit Dylan Mulvaney is wearing now that Fall has arrived.

Patriots were real men unlike pajama boys today.

Agreed. Aside from Woodson the Safety position has been a joke.

Agreed. The staff seems aware. aadding arichie grant, and Lewis Cine was in for a visit recently.

We will likely scrape by for 2025 with what we have, but other than Craig Woodson I expect a completely overhauled safety room.

They don't face anyone in that caliber in either conference. The NFL is a far cry to what it used to be. Many team fan base's can make a case why they have a chance.

I still go into every game expecting the unexpected like 2001. Each week I was asking when the Pat's Cinderella season was going to end? In fact, the Pats had some luck along the way as they needed an Oakland collapse to get the #2 seed. Going to Oakland in the Divisional Round probably ends their season.

It took me until 2003 to finally get over Bledsoe and believe Tom Brady was the QB of the future. I think the team is good enough to compete and the schedule is to their advantage. We'll see if they can capitalize on it like the 2001 Pats did going a whopping 9-1 against teams under .500.
My youngest son and I have to take some credit for the Jets win in Oakland at the end of 2001. We were among the 10,000 or so Pats fans who took over the 1-14 Panther's empty stadium and were doing the Jets chant as we watched the scoreboard.

I could tell right away that Brady did some things better than Drew. What Drew did to help the team was to support Brady no matter how he felt. That class act had as much to do with their winning as anything. Drew could have split the locker room in half.

He did split the fanbase in half, WITHOUT EVEN TRYING.

At the point where he was healthy, I would say (recollect) the espn & patsfans boards were about 60-70% for Drew. I personally was unsure (but IBBWT even then) and frankly w the pending war I had other things on my mind most of season. I knew Drew had the bigger arm, and some folks were in love w that. We outsiders couldn’t see those intangibles that TB brought to not only games, but also practices. What was obvious & going in TB favor was that he was less reckless w ball (int).
But the Pitt playoff game (AFCCG) when Drew came back in I think was the ultimate confirmation that he had lost the job. Sure, he got the one TD (pass to Patten) but at least one of his passes was so close to a pick-6; that you held your breath & wished Brady were back in. The rest of game he didn’t really do much, we won w ST & D.
There was still 20% of the boards arguing who should we keep/ trade in the offseason, but it was a done deal after SB win.

BL: you are 100% correct; Drew was always a class act even if some of his Mediot allies & posterboard fans weren’t.

Lol thanks for reminding me. Meant to pick a new avatar anyway and I think this one is much better than the default Brownie one! Lol

Absolutely. What can you tell me about Grant? I know he was a higher draft pick? Free safety? Strong safety? I can definitely see us taking a safety day 2? Or who would see that's a upcoming FA at safety?
