I think the lack of man coverage is due to (1) Gonzo's hammy not being 100% and (2) the deficiencies at S. I hope we will get to see more of it.

That's probably very accurate.. I have to continue to remind myself how long gonzo was out with that hammy.. a gonzo at 80% is still better than most QB at thier best. The safety play Opposite Woodson definitely is a concern. Watching Kurh in an interview recently seems as if they may be leaning more to playing more man.

I wouldn't say a lack of man because they play it fairly often as far as percentages go probably a 30-70 split. It tends to be easier to disguise looks in zone coverages.

Coach Hamilton said in the coaching interview yesterday that depending on the QB they face essentially determines if they will play man or zone.

Maybe but even bad teams have good games. We had 4 of them last year. Sometimes teams get outplayed it happens. We are not that good yet that we can count out any opponent . We are still young teams and we have young players at key positions that can still be inconsistent.

That's what I mean about beating ourselves.

Miami- 2 of the TDs were from inside the 5 yard line on drives started on Miami's side of the field. 1 of those drives they started at the Miami 2.
Minnesota- was his lone 100 yard game
Detroit- 81 yards on 21 carries isn't running wild
Baltimore- 10 carries 61 yards. 3 carries for 45 yards in the 4th quarter garbage time down 3+ scores, first 3 quarters- 7 carries, 16 yards, 2.2 ypc

I'm not saying he's **** or anything or that he won't have a good game, i'm just saying he hasn't really been "running wild", someone like Rico Dowdle those 2 weeks was someone running wild.

Browns D played the Packers tough. That Packers offense is FULL of impact play makers. This will be a challenging game. Even at home. Pats need to put up 17 to win IMO

I'm expecting the offense to have it's struggles against an aggressive front.. however no matter what the Browns do.. there is just no answer for a mobile QB who's accurate downfield..

Hope you're right Tommy.. the D needs to stop allowing suspect offenses that have no business moving the ball on us to get in rhythm and confidence.. Vrabel said today he wants to affect the QB more.. lock up the WRs and heat on the QB...
