I think this season is a goner . You need to be a phenomenal communicator and understand the Gen z vibes and mentality to motivate them to play for you.Might have been their best shot at a quality win. Next game is 18th ranked Virginia who are 5-1. Then they got Syracuse who actually beat a Clemson team that kicked the **** out of UNC. Stanford is possible but Stanford had a harder schedule and this is realistically their break. Wake Forest is flat better and should beat them bad. Same with Duke. Stanford and maybe NC State are the two best cracks they have at it.
It's hard to see them qualifying for a bowl game this year. Which is bad considering UNC has been to 5 bowls in the last 6 years.
This was probably a must win game all things considered. All the media hype this weak on Belichick, a beatable opponent and probably one they had to win to have any shot at qualifying.... Barring a massive turnaround, this season is already a disaster. They need to go 4-2 down the stretch.
In an ideal world I'd agree. However, one of them is proving that they were every bit as unbearably unpleasant as the other always alluded to. Everyone has their tipping point and Kraft took it for years for the sake of the franchise and because of the aura of Bill Belichick being untouchable. He even sided with Bill at the end and basically gave him the go ahead to coach the team at the expense of Brady who was absolutely done with him. Most franchises would tell their HC they are giving the GOAT QB the contract they want and they can either deal with it or find a new job. Kraft also gave Bill unprecedented control for a franchise that no other coach was afforded in the Super Bowl era (MAYBE Brown when he created the Bengals had that control).
Instead of just being grateful that he had a good thing going, he decided to play the smug kid in class who pushed disrespect as far as he could because he knew he could get away with it. It's not a shock that there was ill will.
There's a lesson to be learned about how you act and treat people when you have power. Because now the guy who was beyond reproach is vulnerable and all the people he treated like dogshit who could have softened the blows for him right now are getting their moment to double down on it and make it as visible as possible so that it's a big part of the story.
I guess the worm has turned. BB is paying the price now and I bet the media love it.I don’t know of anything specifically involving Torre, but Bill has spent the last quarter century treating the media like pond scum….
Kraft calling Bill an ******* wasn't helpful. He should have kept that to himself.
It's sad to see what's happening with Bill and Bob. They should have ended it more respectfully.
