Alright, figured I'd start fun 'late week' thread about some big names during the Tom Brady era that you may have forgot were Patriots.

Here's a list of those who ultimately played in a game (in no particular order)....

Joey Galloway
James Harrison
Fred Taylor
Steven Jackson
Josh Gordon
Chad Ochocinco
Alge Crumpler
Darelle Revis
Vinny Testaverde
Aqib Talib
Junior Seau
Antonio Brown (short stint, but this one is hard to forget)

And here's a few more that were in Pats camp (but never played in the regular season)...
Tim Tebow
Reggie Wayne
Torry Holt

AND here's a bonus fun fact.....Troy Brown ONLY played for the Patriots and only played in the Drew Bledsoe and Tom Brady eras....so you would think he would only have received touchdown passes from those two players.

And while, yes, he did catch at least one touchdown pass from those two, he also caught a TD pass from the following players........

Dave Meggett
Adam Vinatieri
David Patten
Vinny Testeverde

Pretty crazy, right?

Not Tom Brady era, but I'll throw this name out there.

Hall of Fame DT Steve McMichael

3rd round draft pick by the Pats in 1980, out of Texas.

Played in six games as a rookie for Ron Erhardt before being cut prior to the '81 season by new head coach Raymond Berry.

Proceeded to play in 191 consecutive games for da Bears.

The New England Patriots selected Steve McMichael, a consensus All-America selection at the University of Texas, in the third round (73rd overall) of the 1980 NFL Draft. After playing in only six regular-season games, the Patriots released him before the start of the 1981 season.
The following season, after an injury to one of their starting defensive linemen, the Chicago Bears brought in McMichael to back up Hall of Famer Alan Page during his final season. Unbeknownst to them at the time, the Bears had found the quintessential ironman to bolster their defensive unit.
At 6-feet-2 and 270 pounds, McMichael played in a franchise-record 191 consecutive games for the Bears, becoming a starter at defensive tackle during the 1983 campaign. As a full-time starter, McMichael went on to earn two Pro Bowl nods (1986 and 1987) and three consecutive first-team All-Pro selections (1985-87).
“Mongo” became a vital part in the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl run, as the club looked to end their championship drought of nearly 20 years. From 1982 until 1991, the Bears allowed the fewest points, rushing yards and total yards in the NFL, while recording the most sacks. McMichael played a role in the Bears winning six division championships and Super Bowl XX in 1986 against his former club, the New England Patriots. In his lone Super Bowl, McMichael started at left defensive tackle and recorded a sack.
McMichael helped the Bears set numerous defensive team records in 1984, including fewest yards allowed (3,863) and most sacks (72; McMichael had 10). The Bears’ 72 total sacks still stand as an NFL record.
McMichael’s 92.5 sacks for the Bears rank second in team history, behind Hall of Famer Richard Dent. Twice, in 1988 (11.5) and 1992 (10.5), McMichael led the team in the category, and he totaled seven seasons with eight or more.

Would have helped Berry in Super Bowl 20 if Mongo was playing for the Pats rather than the Bears, even though Chicago still would have won.

Some others
* indicates offseason/preseason only:

SS John Lynch *
DE Will Smith *
OLB James Harrison

WR Torry Holt *
WR Reggie Wayne *
RB Joseph Addai *
RB Fred Taylor
RB Steven Jackson

K Robbie Gould *
K Martin Grammatica *

Plenty more if you go pre-2000.

I feel like Revis was hard to forget. He was like the centerpiece acquisition the season we finally won a Super Bowl after 10 years and was probably the biggest signing in the NFL off season.

Still weird that Gordon has a super Bowl ring

Does Adam Gase count? Wasn't he on staff for like, 2 weeks or some **** lol.

3 x pro bowl NT Bob Golic.
2nd round pick by NE out of ND as linebacker but cut by the Pats.
Too bad the Pats never tried him at NT.

Phil Dawson 'competed' with Vinatieri and then went on to have a long (1998-2018) career mostly with the Browns.

Of the OP's list, I forgot about James Harrison and Torry Holt. A lot of the others are hard to forget for me.

Tried making him something other than a QB, if I remember right. A running back, I think.
Defensive back, if I recall correctly.

Got the draft day phone call where he was informed of the team's plans, and said GTFO, forcing an immediate trade.
