If there is a coaching bump i think it will last for a few series if the pats don't start out slow, if they do start out slowly the titans may gain confidence and become a problem.

Sauce has been overrated for the last couple of years. People excused it last year because they came up with the narrative that he didn't want to tackle people in a contract year.

And as for Garrett Wilson:

Personally, if I was Wilson, I would have demanded a trade the second they signed Justin Fields. Dan Orlovsky calls it here.

I wont entirely blame Wilson for wanting that money in the bank now and signing that extension. Not to mention they would have probably tagged him year 5. But it brings up another point. Yes what the Jets did during that half that last game is a special kind of bad. But i am kind of annoyed when great players sign to absolutely horrible organizations and get mad about losing, their production going down or stupidity. I mean, did you not know what you were signing up for?

I can't completely put Wilson in this camp as for a young player you don't want to wait to put money in the bank now... and doing that 2 seasons early and not having to risk it is something i completely understand, but he is now locked into the Jets till he is 31.... They are not letting him walk anytime soon if at all.

Vrabel....

Mike McDaniel is next, but I think Aaron Glenn is going to get Mayo'd faster than Mayo if they get to 0-8. Salah was the scapegoat and there has to be a line drawn for the Jets getting embarrassed.

Obviously, if I was Wilson, the first option would have been to force a trade. If that wasn't feasible, he was smart to get paid before the season. With Fields and the poor offensive play calling, he is likely to have a down year. The Jets would definitely had used it against Wilson if he didn't take the deal before the season.

I can't see Wilson wanting to be there. He was screwed over last year because he and Rodgers didn't like each other and Rodgers started to phase him out when the Jets traded for Adams. And now he has to deal with Justin Fields. I don't think he is elite, but he could probably a top 7-8 WR in a real offense.

He has 395 of the Jets 865 receiving yards.
I would argue he is elite, and is just in a horrible situation.

To me the part that hit home was Orlovsky saying da Jete "paid the perimeter before they paid the line".

100% on target. They've ruined the last 3 QBs by having a ****ty OL. They've thrown draft capital at it, but it just hasn't paid off.

They should not have resigned Wilson or Gardner because they aren't going to be good any time soon. They should have traded them because they need the draft capital to get good.

Unfortunately that doesn't put fannies in seats and that's what Woody cares about, so they're gonna do what they've done the entire Woody era, fail due to bad team building.

A line ? That franchise has been utterly embarrassing for the better part of every North American life (Japanese people live forever - if they followed the sport, they might remember a time the NYJ weren’t embarrassing).

Remember that Bill Callahan is on the staff, and still there at this point to my knowledge. He ain’t taking the job, and the other coordinators may feel loyalty to him and refuse the job too. Very bad situation the Titans have gotten themselves into. This really should have been a bye week thing.
I was thinking that his dad was the O-Line coach and would he leave with his son or stay. I’m thinking he would leave.

NFL radio this afternoon was saying they should make the OC the interim head coach because it would help the rookie QB, I start talking out loud in the car, he’s the OC and already is working with the rookie QB. Good make him the interim head coach and he can spen less time with Ward.

Yeah, no way the old man agrees to become the interim after they fire his kid, he probably left the building with him. BTW the old man is an excellent Oline coach.

Saleh was there for almost 4 years though.

This guy was just Chargers NPC Coach #3, if I remember right.
Had an ok start. Remember they actually won a playoff game his first year there in 2013.

But slowly dipped from there until getting fired in 2016, the year they left San Diego. Most Chargers fans don’t seem to have glowing reviews.

Kind of weird timing. Not that PR should drive decisions, but you'd think they don't fire the head coach the week of playing their old head coach who they somewhat controversially fired while his team has some buzz going. That's just a bad look that highlights how you made a poor decision on that.
