Yup, the know it all fantasy fueled armchair HC/GM/OC post NEM implosion. And linking to that OTHER board inhabited by moneyballers and generational second guessers.

Football is not a game defined by statistics & records, but by EMOTION! That is what separates a true fan from some of the fantasy/stats geeks. Although I believe their are many who are both. But emotion is the base necessity.

Poor 16-0 Patriots

has a 16-0 team EVER had more holes and deficiencies?

Couldn't agree more. I'm very excited and happy, and this isn't the time to be critical.

Nothing's ever good enough for some people.

Brady is going to want to re-negotiate his contract or be traded due to the many "concerns" this team has.

and then certain "fans" will be elated because we'll go 8-8 and have a chance to go to the Super Bowl as opposed to going 16-0 but with so many holes that it just doesn't matter...or something like that...am I missing anything here?

Today is NOT the day to say "Let's talk about where we can improve". Yet I've already seen several threads discussing this very topic. Hell, 5 minutes after the Greatest regular season achievement EVER, this very topic was posted on this board.

What is it about New England fans that we feel compelled to see the glass as half-empty? Why cant' we Celebrate & Relish in the Glory of last night's incredible achievement without focusing on "Why we're concerned"? I honestly find this both sickening and sad. God knows we have plenty of time to talk about our concerns, but we are just FANS! We are supposed to cheer & congratulate our team on their perfect regular season. Yet I see a fan base that is reluctant and for the life of me, I don't know why.

We are NOT players, so it is NOT bad luck to give our team a well deserved 48 hours of pure celebration & congratulatory praise. There is NOTHING bad that can happen as a result of FANS losing focus. As a matter of fact, the thought we need to keep our focus as fans is utterly STUPID.

As fans, we do NOT need to keep it "One game at a time", nor do we need to accept "on any given sunday" BS. We can actually assume or believe we will be world champions and there is nothing wrong with that.

To those who are concerned & worried and not uphoric over last night's achievement....

SHAME ON YOU!

Couldnt possibly agree more with you. But dont let the negativity bring you down to any degree. Its life, and its gonna happen no matter how ridiculous or idiotic it may seem. People are greedy, needy and critical. And the Patriots are 16-0!!

There's a lot of people on this board I would love to have a drink with. There's also a lot of people I would like to throw a drink on.

I truly cannot even fathom living in a place where you can't take 24 hours to relish in the happiness of what just occured. Instead of lashing out and insulting these people, I'm going to feel bad for them.

Different opinions are great, they make the world go around. Being incapable of finding any sort of joy is just plain sad.

Being incapable of finding any sort of joy is just plain sad.

stats are the nectar of the self described "genius party" faction here...they see negatives in every single aspect of the Patriots 53 man roster. Brady is zeroed in on Moss. Maroney has terrible numbers therefore he's horrible. Hobbs can't cover. Watson drops passes, he has to go. Light gives up too many sacks.Kaczur gives up too many sacks. Bruschi's numbers are down therefore he has to go. The Pats scored 50 points in good weather and 60 degrees, then they scored half that in 40 mph winds and freezing rain snow and sleet...obviously they're regressing and this is a MAJOR problem. Moss takes plays off, this will really hurt us in the playoffs.

You got another couple of hours? The Stats Genius Coalition has an almost endless stream of negatives they'd like to cram down your throat...but then you're probably too stupid to understand because you are enjoying victory in the final game of a 16-0 season...and that is NOT ALLOWED per order of the Einstein Council within the Stats Genius Coalition.

If it's any consolation,I feel like you do.

This made me laugh--thanks. I don't know if it's too many wedgies and swirlies in school or what, I just don't get it. I just know nobody is crapping in my corn flakes today.

It's also funny to me that while we won and are 16-0, other teams who should have won didn't. Dallas started most of their first team and couldn't move the ball at all against washington. I am watching the titens beat the colts right now. We are the only team that didn't loose, every other team did and showed blemishes, so why get upset because we didn't crush the giants?

What does it mean? Nothing. We all know that, they playoffs are coming and I am going to enjoy this achievement until after the new year as the players should as well.

So what do you really think about Hobbs?

Awesome young player with unlimitted postential. Plays his position well and contributed to the Patriots going 16-0!:D
