Hello, this is just a dumb but heartfelt post to express my appreciation and gratitude for the hard work that @Ian (dude's a Saint in my book) and the Mods put into making this the best gosh darn sports board on the planet. I know I can speak for countless others when I say the experience at other team message boards/ forums does not even sniff the hint of Air that PatsFans.com is encompassed by. These other sites are boring, lifeless, inorganic nonsense tunnels. Sure, PF has plenty of nonsense, but its handled in a reasonable manner/time, which certainly can't be said about other forums. I also think we forget how awesome PF is and take it for granted sometimes.

The enjoyment I receive from this site has been great over the years and I really do encourage anyone who visits this site regularly to support to help this great team continue the crazy background stuff that goes into running and continuously improving a site like this. Thank you for your time!

The mods and all of you guys are what makes this place. I just keep tweaking it and making it slightly cooler wherever I can. I've said it before, but it's wild to see where things are now online compared to the late 90s, early 2000s. Can only imagine what things will look like in another decade. I'll be 60 by then ... which is insane to even think about.

Well this is the only social website or message board I’ve ever joined so that says a lot. When I told my wife I joined she was so proud of me. LOL! I just wish I knew about this a long time ago.

Aside from the time Ian accused me of being multiple posters and I felt like I was in a Police interogation,

He was like just admit it.

Admit what?
I was so shocked but yes the Website rocks.

And have been on since the Nem days can’t recall the year I feel like I was in on this site or one similar pre BB days.

How long this been running?

I have looked at lots of other teams forums. And I can say in all honesty, I have not come across even one that is half as good as ours.
Thank you Ian and the team. I really appreciate the work that you all put into this project. Well done

Did all of you agree on this post?

No one likes a kiss-ass

Agreed!

This site and forum have always been a home of healthy debate and passionate posters of differing perspectives.

Not to crap on the now defunct celticsblog.com, but their mods once banned an entertaining poster just for arguing that Gordon Hayward wasn't going to return to his pre-injury form.

This site is so different, you don't have to just drink the cool-aid to share opinions and that keeps the threads so much more diverse and interesting. Kudos!

I live many states away where there aren’t many Pats fans, so I’ve always appreciated having someplace to come and talk about the team. Thanks to everyone who has made this place what it is.

Totally agree. I hope Ian gets some compensation and satisfaction for all his efforts. And I think Ross, Mike, JM and the others mods do a great job. And I remember when no one could tolerate being a mod. Well done to all.

Is that enough ass-kissing, PatMensch?

And have been on since the Nem days can’t recall the year

FWIW the date you joined is logged in your posts, maybe you lurked before that tho...

Mine says March 2012 and don't really recall NEM, though I might have just let his posts go over my head back then.

I feel like I was in on this site or one similar pre BB days.

Like all good relationships, once you commit to one you forget all the others.

How long this been running?

IDK, would also like to know.

I made an executive decision.

This is one way to tell us that you have a comfortable couch.

You have been here since NEM?

And to think that all this time I have been treating you with kid gloves because I thought you were a newbie?

NEM could not and would not go unnoticed. He would never have allowed that.

Yeah I had a different username on an old laptop I wasn’t very tech savvy back then at all. at that point I only fired up the PC to check on my Pats.
Once my laptop broke I tried to get back on numerous times but it wouldn’t give me access to the name back. Might of been like Chris R 717 or Crazychris Pats or Lanc Pats fan honestly I don’t recall I had to change my username many times cause I kept having issues.

I used to log in from my work computer a lot back then til my manager had IT check to see how many times I was on and My manager printed out a log. And he’s like wtf are you talking about football in April and my friend is sitting there and he’s like ugh NFL draft prep really?

One the funniest and proudest moments I had of being a fan.

I love how someone who's been on the forums for 12 years is a newbie.
