He averages around the 230 a game: that can still win you games if you have a decent running game. We need KW to get it: He's the Big Play WR we are lacking.
It might also be the OC and playcalling. He could throw for 300 plus yards if he was airing it out all game. But they seem to want to have a short type passing game.

My guess is next year he may have more freedom to start throwing it downfield more.

What is the glimmer you see? Please share.
Pop had 17 snaps Sunday night which he was Targeted Three Times. Caught Two: one was a lucky tip that would have been a TD just before the half *ugh*. He was Open a few more times but Maye threw a little further down the Field. I believe Pop Douglas is getting it: now put that in your pipe and smoke it.

This game is prime for a let down facing a 1 win team.

Saints have a more than decent TE in Jawan Johnson. This Pats D has yet to stop the TE. Kinkaid and Bowers ripped NE a new one.

Rattler has good numbers too. 66.7% completion percentage 990 yards - 6 TDs - 1 INT - 9 sacks.

Next year?? How about starting this week and the rest of the season??

Patriots don't have the down field threat. Diggs is more of a slot guy these days.

But at some point, they do need to let him air it out. If they are afraid he will make mistakes, well....work with him on said mistakes.

Yes they do Rookie Kyle Williams.

No 300 yard games yet in only 16 games.

Maye is credited with the Buffalo 2024 start where Milton actually played and won. Maye has thrown for 3 TDs vs Houston 2024.
Maye missed two TD's that were tipped already this year. The one to Boutte against Pittsburgh EZ and the one Sunday night to Pop also in the EZ *lucky Defense*.

Yeah, they're the best 1-4 team ever. We get it.
I know State's on the same obsession page re: Rattler as PF2 is on wideouts. He's the president of his fan club. With that said, Rattler does take care of the ball, only one pick so far this year. He's topped out at 225 yards, with the likes of Alvin Kamara, Olave and the ghost of Brandin Cooks at his disposal. My guess is they'll stop the run and make Rattler beat them, and I don't think he can. I don't think Rattler will lose them the game, either. This should be a game where the Pats outclass them in all aspects and control the game throughout.

He's learning from me...

This is why I'm sold on this team...

Rattler is good enough to beat you. The Saints led the Bills late in their game a week ago, they're not an automatic out.

I also agree that Pop is on the verge of breaking out. I think Josh will be careful with Diggs to keep him fresh and healthy, and Pop will be the beneficiary. Drake & he would have connected on an awesome TD the other night if not for the tipped ball.

2 for 17 leads PF2 to hope. Got it. Thanks.

Trust me like you did last year remember: Wolf GM of the year.
Throwing up in my mouth right now.

Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom (Wolf and Mayo) in order to turn it around. The rejuvenation all starts with a glimmer of hope.

Cowden deserves Executive of the Year. The draft and free agency have transformed this team.
Is Wolf still getting everybody Coffee?? What an easy job that guy have.

I see a lot of coach hires every year and go, "Sure, that could work." But the Pats nailed the HC, the OC, the personnel side, the analytics guy. I'm not 100% on the DC, but they just made every right decision from Vrabel on down. I think this staff is built to last a while.

Marrone and especially McDaniels ain't going anywhere: they are now what they'll be until they retire.

Yeah, the offensive side looks very stable for a while.
