Agree with all . . . except Denver.

Broncos defense is one of the best in the league, by any metric. 2nd in points allowed, 1st in fewest touchdowns allowed, 7th in yards/play, 8th in yards/game.

On offense the passing game is meh, but they do average 5.1 yards per carry, and the OL doesn't give up many sacks.

In the current NFL, that can carry a team well into the playoffs.
Plus they just beat the eagles in Philly.

Chargers fully Chargering

Ahh. Yeah he's one of those hot cold hot cold types right?
When has he ever been hot ? Random regular season game in September or November ? That’s not what you need to win a first round playoff game (which he doesn’t do).

The Montgomery/gibs duo is so frickin sick. And they didn't even have an exceptional 1st half.

Nah! The first week of the season have a lot of aberrations. The Pats beat the Bengals last year. And the Pats looked like they may be a decent team doing it.

Other win or loss and injuries, you can throw everything out about what happens in week one of the season. There are good teams that have head scratching losses and bad teams that have decisive wins
Agreed. but the LVR are dogshit.. they haven't done anything since geno Smith had a day against our gonzo-less secondary. 40-6.. wow! Looking back at that Bengals loss that team had no tee Higgins..

I can’t get behind biting ankles and such. But I am a fan of reinforcing the lines and running the ball.

Bengals gotta move on from Zac Taylor. I said he was their ceiling the year they were bound for the SB. Even in their hottest year, he just had questionable approaches and management to crucial games.

He ain't it and if the Bengals are gonna make the most of those massive contracts, they need to pay for a better HC and DC. That team has a lot of potential and it's being wasted. That OL is AWFUL and has had more reasons and time than even the Patriots to get it fixed.

I almost feel like Taylor has gotten worse.
He lost to the 2024 Jacoby Brissett patriots .

Haven't seen many Chargers games. He looked good in a few games I saw over the years but i don't recall which ones. I thought he was considered like a "make a wish" Josh Allan type. Don't know really why.

In 2003 (yeah, I know it is a long time ago), the Patriots lost to the Bills 31-0 week one. The Pats went onto a 14-2 season and a Super Bowl win. The Bills won 5 more games all year. People around the league were literally talking about the Patriots being one hit wonders and the Bills being the new powerhouses in the AFC and questioning whether the Pats should have traded Brady instead of Bledsoe.

There are always aberrations in week one. By all accounts, the Patriots didn't go as hard as they had in the past during the preseason. Vrabel seems to have the philosophy of treating the first month of the season as an extension of the preseason and historically as head coach has a really bad losing record the first week of the season. Even seasons where he won his division, he lost week one.

Every year, I discount what happens in week one. It really means nothing other than the W/L in the standings. That is why Belichick always said you never what type of team you have until at least week 5.

“Bruh, we gotta get the f#*k outta here!!!….”

How many years did they stick with Marvin Lewis even though Lewis couldn't win a single playoff game. Mike Brown is a horrible owner. He won't fire Taylor especially if he has multiple years on his contract left. No way will Brown pay two head coaches at one time. Cheapest owner in the league.

Must suck to be a Browns/Jets or Panthers fan.
Baker/Darold are a combined 52/60, 641 yds and 4 tds right now.

More trouble in paradise between AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts. Personally, I think you can spread the blame around on this one. Yes, the ball was grossly overthrown, but Brown slowed up on his route too.

Plus Lawyer Milloy. We traded what was considered one of the best safety in the league like weeks before the game right? I miss those days.
