I know they love teams having 10-2 or 11-1 or whatever records... but i really wish they cut division 1 FBS in half so only the top 60ish teams play each other. There are just too many noncompetitive games. At least don't let them beat up on bottom half D1 like they can now.

If ignoring dollars and cents of all involved with the game, some sort of promotion style format like the premier league would be interesting. Could cut it in half or whatever may be, add a clearer regional element within it when grouping teams in “conferences” to make promotions and demotions make sense.

But alas, because of conference allegiance and looking down the money pipeline of all the stakeholders involved, would never happen. Competitive equity will never be the main goal over dollars for college football. Also, the NCAA organization in itself is a whipping post.

I'd add Carson Beck too. I wasn't impressed by Mateer though.

Mendoza with something like 9 TDs / 0 INT over his first 3 games. People wanted to see how he would handle a higher level of competition. Handling it well so far.

Can't remember when I've seen such complete domination of a top-10 team in all aspects of the game.

Mendoza looks like the real deal so far, reminds me a bit of a less athletic Drake Maye.

Mendoza throws five TDs for second straight week

For the second straight week, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza has thrown five touchdown passes. This time, his fifth touchdown pass came on a great throw to Elijah Sarratt, his second touchdown catch of the game.

Only saw the highlights of FSU and Virginia , looked pretty good , Virginia kept making plays to keep FSU away. The FSU WR Duce Robinson (6ft5in 220lbs) had a good game

Makai Lemon - WR from USC's stock is rising massively this year. He's a guy i'll be watching closely.
