2025 / 2026 College watch thread

With 7 mins remaining in the first half, Clemson are losing 24-7 to Syracuse.

Not a great game from Fano. Gave up a sack to Bailey at the end of the game and two penalties. Aside from that sack though, Bailey didn't impact the game much either though. None of the four really stood out. Nor did Barton.

I know they love teams having 10-2 or 11-1 or whatever records... but i really wish they cut division 1 FBS in half so only the top 60ish teams play each other. There are just too many noncompetitive games. At least don't let them beat up on bottom half D1 like they can now.

Has a team as talented as Clemson (at least i assume they are as talented as they appear to be) ever started 1-3?

Michigan center Greg Crippen with a big time block on a 75 yard TD run. Don't know if he is an NFL quality player, but he looked good there. Interested to see how he moves up/down the board as the season plays out, currently somewhere between 3-5th round it seems

FYI he helped push the line open to the left, then come back to the right and pushed the LB out of the play.
Edit: Found it

I don't know but Florida might join them tonight in a tough match up with Miami.

Auburn WR Cam Coleman is one to watch out for in next years draft.

Keldrick Faulk looks like a man amongst boys in this Auburn game. R Mason Thomas who had to sit out the first half because of suspension got a sack on the second play of the 2nd half. Had been waiting for him and he didn't disappoint.

Greg Crippen did it again the absolute madlad. Okay, I'm in. Draft the beast!

Look at this Gem. Seals the right, pushed the LB way back and has time to block him into the DB trying to make a play. My favorite part was he was totally aware of the situation, saw the DB coming in and placed his guy between them. This is the kind of stuff that makes you a day 2 prospect instead of a day 3.

R Mason Thomas with the game winning sack for a safety. The Oklahoma D/Line has been awesome.

Two conclusions I've come to tonight.

1. Keldrick Faulk is a Keion White replacement, not a Chaisson one. He's a 5-tech who can play 3-tech, not a 4-3 DE. He's super powerful but doesn't have the bend.

2. I found myself thinking we should just draft Connor Lew and have a pro-bowl level center for the next decade. He did make one mistake where he was beaten and committed a hold, but each time I specifically watched him, he just looked so accomplished in pass pro.

It wouldn't be an exciting pick but he looks like a pretty sure thing to me.

Great insights. the MI center looks good too.

But I am BPA (ducking from Clonamery).

Ruben Bain on Florida's first drive.

Play 1 - Tackle for 4 yd loss

Play 2 - Takes on two blockers with one arm each allowing others to make a play.

Play 3 - Shoulder barges a TE as he starts his route almost knocking him to the ground.

result - 3 and out.

He is so violent it's awesome.

Fernando Mendoza upping his draft stock.

Did not expect to see Indiana dominating Illinois.
