Per Vrabel's presser today.

Will contribute "as much as he can" depending on treatment.

Really sad. I know people were giving grief about us hiring someone for the job with health concerns. But this is really just one of those things you can’t predict.

I hope he gets the care needed during treatment. Football ultimately takes a major backseat to his health.

Best of luck to him. His health is far more important than football.

Yes hope he gets the treatment he needs, and makes it back to the side line. But his recovery is more important that football. Wish him well.

If the cancer is contained in the prostate, robotic surgery to remove it should get him back on his feet fairly quickly (6-8 weeks) but maybe not to the extent that he can patrol the sidelines.

If it's breached the prostate and metastasized to local lymph nodes, he's probably looking at prostate & lymph node removal followed by radiation and possibly chemo.

If it metastasized and progressed beyond that, the prognosis isn't as black & white.

My dad had it twice. He's 80. Hopefully they caught it early and he'll be ok.
My stepdad (age 71 at the time) had it in 19 but it ended up being alright after about 6 months radiation etc.

Any tips to avoid it coming back? Sorry about your dad

Best of luck to Coach Williams, sending out good vibes to him and his family.

Hopefully they caught it early. Best wishes on his battle!

Hopefully he can still contribute in some way as I'm sure Kuhn could use his help and I suspect he probably would still want to have a part and try and get away from the battle and just do some ball. But obviously whatever he and his Drs feel is best.

Hope for the best for him. Prayers out.

I’m in middle of checks on PSA levels. Had to sign up to self-pay for extra detailed test, as the DEU- state insurance wouldn’t cover it even though I’m now >60. I always thought it was an over 50 thing covered (at least USA side). Can only say if anyone else given that choice ... TAKE THE TEST.
We have so much incredible modern technology-treatments, ….If you don’t get the diagnosis though, you can’t take advantage of them. I daydream-think sometimes if I was born 100/200 years ago; I would have been deaf, blind, and likely dead by 30. it’s a wonderful world we live in., savor it sometimes.

Here is to a quick recovery for TW, he really should not be focused on contributing, but dealing with his health. Vrabel needs to name a new DC, Kuhr I assume, and needs to take a more active role with defense...too much money and talent in the field, especially with Gonzo coming back.

Sadly, TW needs to not be with this team this season.

Not much advice to give but I do know he is on top of his counts and his appointments. He stays active and watches what he eats and is a light drinker. Just one of those things. Runs in the family so at 54 I'm also good about my checkups.

I hope he’s ok, if he can’t coach then we should search for a New DC, I don’t hate Kuhr but he doesn’t scream defensive wizard to me.
Kurh is going to the title this season and going forward it believe. He's a Vrabel disciple and has came up under him. Not really sure who's a DC better out there.. let's see when Gonzo is back and gets his legs under him.. that will give us all a better understanding.

Another stupid fekkin' take. You have zero idea what he brings to the table. Zero. Idea.

Clueless.

Too bad, have to wonder if the other illness he had during the end of TC was cancer or something else..
Hope he recovers, anticipate that Vrabel will take a bigger role in calling the Defense..
