The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

I have to believe UNC is not happy with Bill chatting it up during pregame with his miniskirted white booted 24 year old girlfriend instead of talking with coaches and players.
Its obvious by now that he just does not give a crap about what anyone else thinks and probably does not care whether UNC does well this year or not.

However is this a good example to set for his players?
Is he telling them to avoid distractions and focus on the playbook while he is yukking it up and flirting with Bunny during pregame?

This will harm the reputation of UNC as a top flight academic and football institution.
Their highest paid employee is making the institution look ridiculous.

I think this is all about getting his man bun hair styled son Steven a head coaching job at a top flight 1A University.

With the flood of talent to UNC this season, I can't see a path to 7 wins if UNC loses the next 2 games.

Gruden: I’ve never seen anything like that

Context since some didn't clearly read the article: He did a parody with Jordon coming onto the field to call plays, which is the thing he's never seen before.

Also:

Gruden then pivoted to taking a shot at Belichick’s consigliere, UNC G.M. Mike Lombardi.

“You know, Mike Lombardi works for North Carolina,” Gruden said. “I’ve heard him criticize me several times. I’m sure he’ll produce a TikTok today explaining exactly what was going on there.”

Lombardi, in most situations, has plenty of opinions and insights and catchphrases to offer. When it comes to Belichick and Hudson, Lombardi usually says nothing at all.

Which pretty much says it all.

Glad that Fat Mike got himself a nice $1.5M payday, since it might be the last time anyone takes him seriously ever again.

From the SB Nation article posted earlier we have:

Instead we’re now left looking at the schedule wondering where the hell another win will come from. There are eight games remaining in 2025, and while nothing is insurmountable, there certainly isn’t a game left that this UNC team should be favored in.
  • vs. Clemson
  • at Cal
  • vs. Virginia
  • at Syracuse
  • vs. Stanford
  • at Wake Forest
  • vs. Duke
  • At NC State
Stanford might be the last best chance to win a game this year. Duke and Wake Forest are probably tossups. This is the ceiling the Tar Heels are at right now. Not pushing for an ACC championship, but maybe being on par to two in-state rivals. That’s how low the bar has gotten for UNC with Belichick at the helm.

So, this guy is having a hard time finding the third win, never mind five wins.

Yeah seemingly going to be a rough year 1

I'm still laughing at all the prospects and talent flocking to UNC.

If you go by Sagarin, then UNC will be favored in the Stanford game and in the Wake game. They'd be favored over Cal on a neutral field but will be an underdog since the game is in Berkeley. However, one must bear in mind that that could easily change as the weeks pass by so it certainly is not written in stone.

Max Johnson should show promise after being in college for 6 years.

Not gonna lie... it will be amusing to me if Bill can't even get them to a bowl game.

They'd have to go 4-4 (or better) in conference play and I can't see that happening.

The problems with UNC go way beyond QB, but given that one year ago he lost his starting job after suffering a leg injury that would make Joe Theisman wince, he's at least in a position to show what he can do.

And every NFL scout will know that he's winning in spite of Belichick, not because of him

Don't read this story if you are squeamish

The interesting part of the video to me is where he says the networks bought into Fat Mike's hype and have put UNC into a lot of TV slots this season, so their piss-poor team is going to leave a lasting impression. Their arrogant "33rd NFL team" hype is gonna burn them big time.
