And not having a playoff win since 2016!
He is a horrible gameday coach, always has been.
I have no idea how he’s duped everyone. NFL analysts/former players gush over him, I truly don’t understand it.
Seems like a good dude, his pressers are funny and I’m sure he’s a great role model, but I’ve never thought he was good at “coaching”.
I have a couple hardcore Steelers friends, and they loathe him and have been saying he should be fired going back at least 5 years.

Tomlin started losing playoff game after playoff game while Ben was still playing.

After starting his career 5-1 in the playoffs, he's gone 3-10 in playoff games for the last 15 years. Most of that with Roethlisberger, who's a shoe-in for Canton.

And the kicker: During his current 3-10 playoff stretch, the 3 wins have come against QBs Matt Moore, AJ McCarron, and Alex Smith.

I'm not saying Tomlin is a great coach, but he has kept many nutcases in line for their best career production. Antonio Brown and Bell were the heart of those teams competing. Tomlin got the most out of them even though they never won. It's a miracle they went as far as they did. I'm not sure another coach would have handled them so well.

There's no argument Tomlin is not a good game day coach and gets out coached in the big games. But because the Steelers draft great talent over "issues" it's been Tomlins job to keep things smooth. People get fooled because they are are always so talented, but it must really be a task to have been an adult in the room with those teams.

Gibby have serious Breakaway speed; we need get the ball in his hands on passing downs.

Some Steelers fans are already talking draft.

Thats early. Before Halloween.

Tomlin is a lax players coach with no control over his ball club.

Remember when one of his players videoed the Steelers post Locke room victory celebration and Tomlin shot his mouth off about beating the Patriots axx next playoff game? The video made its way on social media and to the Patriots where Pitt got B slapped.

Can you imagine that occurring to Parcells or BB? Because I cannot.

We should really be 2-0 right now.. the raiders looked like the raiders we all know.. the patiots beat the patiots in week 1.. if we can get a win at home Sunday this team could go on a run...
I don't think so. LV was the better team vs us, and the Chargers were the better team vs LV. We can bridge the gap this year to get to LV's level, but we have a long way to go to get to LA's level.

Yeah his rush moves are very spastic as another poster had said in the gameday thread (you may have been the one that said this). He reminds me of the King of this move - Cassisus Marsh. That dude was always acting spastic and then would jump in on the tackle to act like he did something only to get back up and start doing his karate kicking celebration. That guy was trash.

Chaisson has a nice speed rush, but T's catch on very easily to it. He needs to add some other set up moves to keep the T's guessing.
We didn't have 11 sacks until like week 9 last year.. we lead the league through 2 games. He's a big reason why. Although I see your overall point.

IMO Maye isn't there yet. He's still a raw kid who lost a year from dog pile coaching that has a lot of work to do. We don't know how good he's going to be.
I think he's "there" in terms of being a good 2nd year QB, but he's gonna grow well beyond "good".

They should have been talking draft when they signed Rodgers.

We need T Williams to Coach him up.

Maybe.. we didn't do anything to help ourselves win. The patiots beat the Patriots.. we didn't show up on offense the second half.. we had control of game and gave it up.. have to remember that. The chargers are a veteran team with a veteran QB and a coach that's won at a high level.. also they are a division opponent who knows LV well. LA has had great regular seasons going back to when we beat them in the '06 divisional.. Herbert needs to prove it in the postseason.

Please don’t mention the Steelers and Halloween together. Brings back ugly memories from the 2004 Halloween game!

I'll take his pass rush... unless they want last years patriots pass rush....

All tbd, but I see the Chargers as in the top tier, and the Patriots and Raiders in the middle tier. During the week 1 game, from the opening drives LV had the upper hand and made many big plays, but I do think we'll catch up to them.

But we didn't have our Best Defensive player; Gonzo would have made a difference. When Gonzo locks down one side of the Field: our DC can get creative with the lesser guys.

Depends if Gonzo is back and 100%. If so, perhaps he travels with DK.

Pressure is the key. Despite Rodgers having some positive plays outside the pocket week 1, he just doesn’t move like he used to. You can see when he starts to feel pressure he gets way more skittish than he did in years past. So yes please, hit him early and often.
Pittsburgh's receiving corps is no big deal. The Tight Ends are solid, not great (Jonnu Smith and Feyermuth), and WRs are okay - DK Metcalf is good but not in the same class as Waddle and Hill last week. The Steelers offense looks okay, but nothing to fear. The secondary will be fine if the front seven can bring consistent pressure.

Interesting to see former Patriots Calvin Anderson and Jabrill Peppers on the Steelers' defense. I liked both guys when they were here. So far, the Steelers run defense is not good. Maybe this the is week the Patriots lean on Treveyon Henderson to have a breakout game. It's so nice to have Rhamondre and Gibson there as well. Josh will have something ready for them.

I too have charges in the top tier in the regular season. I have Baltimore and Buffalo ahead of them.. I agree.. and goes back to not having an all pro anytime a team on any part of thier starting offense or defense does not have it's best player they will be impacted.

Pittsburgh Joey Porter Jr the corner is questionable at best according to Tomlin.

Speaking of corners, Gonzo did an interview on some morning football show today, gotta be a good sign of his progression.
