Are the Horseshoes for real ?
With Daniel Jones ? I’m going ‘no’. Not saying they aren’t better than expected. But if you mean ‘contender’ : hard pass.

Colts are better than expected but still not particularly good. Broncos are not as good as expected. Both will be fringe wild card teams, most likely. So will the Pats.
After two weeks, I don’t see a fringe wild card team in NE. I hope they steer things, but sheesh. Even decent teams don’t shoot themselves in the foot at this frequency, let alone good teams.

I guess there are more keepers on NE than last year, but holes must be filled, talent acquired, and mistakes cleaned up for me to even believe they can compete for a wildcard.

Key part of your whole post "after two weeks".
They were far from perfect today, but they were better than last week.
Can they be better in week 3, and then week 4, and then......?
Long way to go. They could continue to get better and challenge for a WC, or not, but we really never know much about any team after 2 weeks of any NFL season.

Yup, ridiculous.
Then they defend it with "analytics"
Like anything else : the analytics should be used for some intel, some insight. But you’re right : instead, they are being used as the be all / end all. To teams’ detriment.

so... Parker Romo has made his first two kicks tonight for Atlanta... justsayin'

Then they defend it with "analytics"
The problem with analytics which they never mention is situations like that don't factor in the type of game it's going to be, that would spit out the same number to go there if you were going against the Michael Penix Falcons where 24 could easily be enough to win or against a prime Peyton Manning team who's expected to score in the mid 30s.

Parker Romo 2 for 2 on FG's

I have concerns about Andy. I feel like whoever's doing his cleats before the game are doing a **** job, because he's slipped multiple times. Not an excuse by any means, he's gotta make kicks, period.

Falcons D has come to play tonight

Atlanta's one of those teams...I really like the *idea* of Atlanta, they're just not good in practice.

Tom Brady never started 0-2. Just sayin'.
