Team looked incredible at times and awful at times.

The offense looked overall good. The only issues were the penalties which really killed them, and were mostly on Moses. But the good news is that he will probably clean that up, and he’s not the long term guy at RT anyway. In all likelihood Bryant will take over at some point. Drake Maye played beautifully and I think he’s in for a big year.

The defense had some really bad series but also got their crap together when it mattered. Huge INT by Mapu. Huge clutch fourth down sack to seal the game. Considering the DC wasn’t even at the game, that’s big.

Special teams - Borregales was shaky as hell early but got that clutch 53 yarder to give the needed cushion. I would still bring another kicker in, but… hopefully he can even out. The blown punt return sucked but was washed away by Gibson immediately returning the favor. Barigner was a total monster, I wonder if the criticism from Vrabel about his bad kick last week pushed him today.
I would add LB tackling to the issues list.

What a game ... So many see saw.. not recommended.fkr the faint of heart .

Best part with this win is everyone redeemed themselves. That's important.

Pluses

  1. Drake maye - flawless
Josh playcalling - near perfect
Rham - MVP
Gibson - Saviour
Offensive line - rookies were excellent, everyone else was great barring penalties.

Wide receivers - well spread out . Need to find a field stretcher. I feel teams are gonna play zone more against us. We need to get Chism in. Pop is not effective.

Defense pass rush - Milton williams , landry, chaisson. Were brilliant.

Negatives

  1. Penalties especially by the vets - Henry, Moses and Bradbury

  2. Special teams - 2 missed goals and punt return and crucial point

  3. Open field tackling - piss poor

  4. Cornerbacks - rank bad sans Marcus Jones

  5. Linebacker tackling - rank bad especially Spillane who had a horrible game

  6. Outside zone run defense - improved only after 3rd quarter.

  7. Zak kuhr def se playcalling - needs wholesale improvement

Having said that in the end a win like this energizes the team and brings in a new ardent fervor for entire season. Go pats !

Next few weeks:

Steelers - looked poor today
Panthers - suck
Bills - that’s a loss
Saints - suck
Titans - suck
Browns - suck

We have to talk about our safeties

I dont know if Peppers would be much better in Coverage

But if we are going Cover 2 in 70% of our playes, those two NEED to be A LOT better. They were atrocious in the back of the defense

It's getting a bit worrisome with Pop. Totally invisible.
Seriously, how long until Chism gets a chance?
And, I have to say, seeing Bourne be effective with 3/32 today with Mac in SF...
Hollins had the one TD, but is he enough after Diggs & Boutte?

You forget we kind of suck too.
So much so we may get Weaver fired.

Biggest win since the 2nd Rams Super Bowl victory.
Mac Jones with the W today!!!!
