Game Day Thread Patriots @ Dolphins GAME DAY: New Vibes (Vribes?)

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

Yes, Squish the Fish. But I do not think it is a crucial game, last week shattered my illusion.

I am watching to see if Drake continues to progress (Drake's progression will take awhile based on last week), and if Vrabel plans to gut everyone from the old regimes (does Duggar, Mapu, White, Jennings, Onwenu, Rham, etc., all play less and get released before 2026?).
I agree that Drake Maye is pretty much the main focus of the season and these games to see if he can play with confidence and keep the bad decisions down.

That said Miami is a dumpster fire and tearing apart at the seams. If we can’t win this one it raises some alarm bells about our overall operation, IMO.

I know the heat impacts everyone the same, but keep pounding the rock at Miami's D-Line and wear them out. Mentally it's a lot easier for Olineman to move forward and be the aggressor, and nothing worse as a D-lineman than getting run into every play and not being able to pin your ears back and tee off.
I remember a game years ago when we were playing the Bills, back when they had Kyle Williams and we ran the same running play like 12 times in a row (can't remember the exact number, but it was a lot). Williams said after the game the whole D was defeated, physically and emotionally.
Now you need some success to run that much, but you gotta keep trying.

Hot take. This offense will click only when Chism will start playing.
Nah, just gotta use Pop correctly and not give up on the run.
Running game should be our bread and butter, and obv that will help pass action.

I agree!!! If we can't win this one then us fans can start to worry a bit. I personally feel like we got this game but who knows lol.

Pivotal game today. A good game by Maye will certainly increase the confidence of this group moving forward. Another rough outing will only increase the chatter, which has obviously gotten a little louder in recent days.

I agree. Then again, none of the '24 QBs covered themselves in glory so far this season. Daniels looked like crap Thursday night

If we see another game where the Pats keep it close or semi close and then Maye has a terrible game costing turnover - pick, fumble - I'm "this close" to being out on Maye, and everyone else should be as well.
Out on Drake Maye after his 12th complete NFL game?
Ahh no.

I agree but @Kdo5 said it well. There are two confidence meters on display today, confidence in Maye, and confidence in the new regime. Which way will the two confidence meters swing?

Yeah dude we need a win. I feel like this is a highly important game because of 3 factors, 1: We need the players to gain some confidence/swagger. 2: We as fans need a taste of something so we can ride with this new team dynamic. 3: And the most important thing to me is kicking Tua Tagovailoa's ass!!! We cant let him keep winning against us haha

My feeling is, I'm fine with him not being great today. But I would like to see him be less jittery and maybe a little more stable. Watching every play back early this week, he looked uncomfortable and indecisive. Obviously, part of that - I'm sure - is being in a new and more complex offense. But it would be nice to see him hopefully settle down a little more today. And also, he needs to just go down if someone gets to him. Trying to stiff-arm his way out needs to end, especially after he tried it last week and fortunately didn't lose the football.

Jackson was placed on IR yesterday, but no other OL are inactive today.
The CBS pregame just stated that 2 starting Miami OL are out on the right side if I heard them correctly.

Is no one talking about White being inactive?? Seems like a big deal.
After watching last week play-by-play while I was logging his snaps, he had maybe two or three plays out of his 29 snaps where he was a factor. Makes you wonder how the coaches felt about him when they watched it back.

Preach dude!!! I also felt like he looked very uncomfortable and just jittery.

I pray they swing positively. It’s been lean in recent seasons. The SB isn’t necessary. What IS necessary is the feeling that the SB could be in the cards down the road w this QB.
