You have to wonder why no one wants to keep Simmons?
One of the strange cases in the league. He’s durable, former All-Pro/PB, never heard of any problems with him. Only thing I can think of is that he’ll be 32 in November, the money he’s looking for & is he only willing to play for a contender?…If the coaching wasn’t as high on Woodson, I’d take a crack at him.

Sounds about right. It seems like he’s always available.

IMO, an underrated factor regarding our record this season is the coaching factor. Seems obvious at face value, but when you account for Vrabel having the highest winning percentage on challenges in the league during his tenure in Tennessee, his mastery of the rule book (along with Stretch…..remember that playoff game vs us in early 2020?), special teams should be better, also Vrabel had the second highest winning percentage as an underdog during his tenure in Tennessee, clock management etc. All of these little advantages will add up…If anything, we’ll be a tough out each and every week while learning how to win & how not to lose games. Teams usually take on the personality of their coaches.

I agree with all of this. I think some are underestimating just how good a coaching staff they have put together, and how ready this team will be to play next Sunday.

The problem with the current NFL. The guy has one good season, gets injured, but has the brinks truck lined up for him.

Not a fan of either party exerting influence over sports in general. Shut up and worry about foreign affairs, the economy and whatever the hell else they got elected to do. I am sure none of them ran on a platform to oust the NFL of any possible wrongdoings.

With that said, I still call the Commanders the Redskins, refer to the Chargers as San Diego and the Raiders as Oakland.
I agree and feel the same way about the players, coaches and owners. Stick to sports.

Is there some way to give teams with injured players some salary cap relief until they're healthy?
