Quiet 1st quarter, feeling each other out.Aargh! There's no way for me to watch CFB here in the UK.
I've finally found a stream. Underwhelming so far.Quiet 1st quarter, feeling each other out.
Beaucoup early.1% chance Manning comes out for 2026 draft
I like to see this. Great play from Carnell Tate
Well Matt Patricia neither bent nor broke. Awesome start to his Ohio State tenure.
LSU have two really interesting linebackers who played very well last night.
1. Whit Weeks, 6'2, 225lbs
2. Harold Perkins Jr, 6'1, 222lbs.
The similarity in size surprised me because Weeks looked bigger and more traditional than Perkins and played a more conventional linebacker role.
Perkins played as a spy and was very explosive in his blitzing and as a run and hit linebacker. He'd be an excellent compliment to Spillane. It should be noted that he missed all last year with a torn acl.
Also keep an eye on Mansoor Delane, the LSU CB. Had an outstanding game last night and will push to be a first rounder if he continues to play like he did last night.
I know it's very early but there was a small chance he was coming out anyway, unless the situation was "perfect" for him.Beaucoup early.
Weeks is a Spillane-type LB or a poor-man's Luke Kuechly. He can do a lot of things well. Very good instincts.LSU have two really interesting linebackers who played very well last night.

This is why I like Perkins over Weeks for the Patriots. As you say, Weeks is too similar to Spillane whereas Perkins can be used in coverage, as a blitzer or to spy a mobile QB. I've liked the idea of a linebacker free to, and athletic enough too, run and hit without the traditional responsibilities of an MLB for a while now. Perkins is ideal for that role.Weeks is a Spillane-type LB or a poor-man's Luke Kuechly. He can do a lot of things well. Very good instincts.
They are still trying to find a home for Perkins. After his breakout freshman season people thought he'd be the next great #7 for LSU. I thought he was heading on the path of Micah Parsons in the beginning.
Make sure you don't give the man any credit at all.Having Caleb Downs and the rest of the Ohio St. secondary can make even Matty P. look like a genius.
Patricia did a great job yesterday. Yes he's got bundles of talent but the play calling stifled the Longhorns.Make sure you don't give the man any credit at all.
I also like Sonny Styles as that off the ball/weak side LB. I like Anthony Hill as well as I think he's better off playing off the ball than as an ILB. He moves around anyways. This is why I like Perkins over Weeks for the Patriots.
